Faith Testimonies
For this Sunday we are republishing the faith testimonies of three of our members.
While this was recorded 4 years ago, their testimony message remains relevant, true, and expressive of the love of Jesus Christ!
See you next Sunday as our Sabbath month ends and we return to community and worship.

Together with prayer, we must make our voices louder to hold our government accountable for continuous flooding. Our protest must be felt, heard, and even feared by those in power. We must never accept that flooding is normal because corruption and incompetence should never be normalized.

🙏 our prayers for the people of Nepal. We pray that their government, local organizations, and the international community will work together to immediately help the families and communities that were devastated. May the Napalese people overcome this tragedy and rebuild. 🙏

Keeping The Main Thing and Going First Class by Rev. Troy Perry

For this Sunday, we are republishing a portion of a 2008 preaching of Rev. Elder Troy Perry, the pastor God used to establish the first LGBTQIA+ Affirming Christian Church and denomination int he world. Since Open Table is on its yearly Sabbath Month of August, we are republishing previous preachings of Open Tabld and other MCC churches. Last Sunday we heard from the preaching of Rev. Deana of MCC Toronto about Sabbath rest. The previous two Sundays, we heard from one of our members, Ardy, and the late kuya Mike Mia.
We pray that everyone continue to be safe, healthy, and having meaningful weekends of rest and recreation. See you all in September!

On World Humanitarian Day, we honor those who show up when communities need them most.

In the Philippines, we know this spirit as bayanihan. It carries us through floods, typhoons, earthquakes, and other crises. But our response to disaster cannot end with helping communities endure what could have been prevented.

Bayanihan helps us survive a crisis.
But bayanihan cannot be the answer to problems that demand accountability.

Beyond relief, we must build safer communities, stronger systems, and institutions that protect people before disaster strikes.
