Fellowship - DLM 2026 | May 29, 2026

It would not have been a "complete" hosting by the Rotary Club of Marikina West Inc, R.I. District 3800 Philippines without its unique brand of fellowship afterwards.

As important as the business conducted was the fellowship shared—renewing friendships, building connections, and strengthening the bonds that unite Rotarians.

We celebrated not only the successful conduct of a historic District Legislation Meeting, but also the spirit of unity and collaboration that continues to propel District 3800 forward.

History was made as Rotary International District 3800 successfully convened its District Legislation Meeting (DLM), a milestone gathering that showcased the strength of Rotary democracy, leadership, and fellowship.

Convened by District Governor Gina Sanchez and proudly hosted by the Rotary Club of Marikina West Inc, the event brought together Electors, club leaders, and Rotarians from across the district to deliberate, collaborate, and make decisions that will help shape the future of District 3800.

The DLM was more than a legislative meeting — it was a celebration of participatory leadership and the collective voice of our clubs. Through thoughtful discussions, healthy exchanges of ideas, and responsible voting, our Electors demonstrated the very best of Rotary: integrity, respect, and a shared commitment to excellence.

In summary, the following amendments to District policies were passed: (1) On the method of electing the district nominee designate, choosing the next district nominee designate would now go back to direct club voting and not the District Nominating Committee anymore; and (2) Allocating P100,000 from the Calamity Fund for pro-active capablity-building trainings; however, name change was defeated.

This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of the District Legislation working committees, district officers, and the many Rotarians who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure a productive and successful event. To our Electors and attendees, thank you for your engagement, professionalism, and unwavering support of this historic undertaking.
