Mama Sita—Kababayan, Ina at Kusinera MKP is ongoing and open to all who want to share their memorable encounters with Philippine food, cooking and dining.

Inspired by Teresita “Mama Sita” Reyes’ own passion of writing her culinary adventures and experiences, “Mga Kuwentong Pagkain (MKP)” was launched as a nationwide contest aimed to encourage everyone to share authentic, one-of-a-kind and little known stories on Philippine cuisine and cooking. The underlying objective of the contest is to gather as many stories as possible to make a valuable and det

ailed compilation of Philippine food, especially since so many Philippine food preparation stories and recipes are being forgotten. 🍽️ From Plates to Pages: A Gastronomic Dialogue and Tasting Feast 📖

Mama Sita’s partnered with Ateneo-Le Cordon Bleu yesterday, May 21, for an inspring afternoon of food, history, and meaningful dialogue! 🇵🇭✨

Esteemed culinary icons Chef Tatung and Mr. Ige Ramos took center stage, highlighting how Filipino cuisine thrives on simplicity, accessibility, and our rich heritage.

Joined by a distinguished panel—Chef Cyrille Soenen, Dr. Fernando Zialcita, Mr. Roberto Villarcabral, and Ms. Estela Duque, as moderated by Ms. Liza Morales, the discussion tackled critical angles like food security, supply chains, and government frameworks, and how they shape our gastronomic culture today.

To cap off the event, Chef Tatung, Mr. Ige, and Le Cordon Bleu hosted an inspiring and delicious degustation celebrating the very best of Filipino flavors! 🥂
