Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan

Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan Join us each Wednesday Lunch from 12nn at CLUB FILIPINO (Club Filipino Avenue, San Juan) The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

2.

The object of Rotary is to encourage & foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:[3]

1. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

3. The application of the ideal of service in each

Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

4. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service. This objective is set against the "Rotary 4-way Test", used to see if a planned action is compatible with the Rotarian spirit. The test was developed by Rotarian and entrepreneur Herbert J. Taylor during the Great Depression as a set of guidelines for restoring faltering businesses and was adopted as the standard of ethics by Rotary in 1942. It is still seen as a standard for ethics in business management:[4]

The 4-Way Test considers the following questions in respect to thinking, saying or doing:

Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

With hearts committed to service, the Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan proudly turned over water filtration systems to Jade Ecleo National High School and Aurelio Elementary School in Dinagat Islands through the Tubig Para sa Kinabukasan Project.

More than providing clean and safe drinking water, this initiative represents hope, health, and a better future for the students and their community. Every drop of clean water is a reminder that when people unite in service, lives are transformed.

Together, we continue to live out Rotary’s call to Service Above Self, building stronger communities and brighter tomorrows—one school, one child, and one act of service at a time. 💙💧

Members of the Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan traveled to San Jose, Dinagat Islands in support of the global End Polio Now campaign of Rotary International.

Despite the long journey, the mission was driven by one purpose—to help protect children and communities from polio through awareness and vaccination support. Together with local partners, the team continues Rotary’s commitment to a polio-free world.

Service Above Self. End Polio Now. 💜

The Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan successfully executed Project: Tubig Para Sa Kinabukasan this past Friday October 10th. The objective of the project was to provide clean drinking water to the Tambis Elementary School in Loboc, Bohol through a donation of a multi-stage water filtration system. In partnership of Loctob Water Inc., the Ada Sunrise Rotary and Scissortail Rotary Passport, we were able to achieve our goal. The school of 140 students, its faculty and support staff now have reliable and clean drinking water readily available to them year round.
