The object of Rotary is to encourage & foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:[3]

1. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

3. The application of the ideal of service in each

Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

4. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service. This objective is set against the "Rotary 4-way Test", used to see if a planned action is compatible with the Rotarian spirit. The test was developed by Rotarian and entrepreneur Herbert J. Taylor during the Great Depression as a set of guidelines for restoring faltering businesses and was adopted as the standard of ethics by Rotary in 1942. It is still seen as a standard for ethics in business management:[4]

The 4-Way Test considers the following questions in respect to thinking, saying or doing:

Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Another productive Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan meeting last July 15!

We continued planning our upcoming service projects that aim to create lasting impact in Bohol, Dinagat, and Taguig.

We also gave a warm Downtown San Juan welcome to our guests, Gabe, Shaquille, and Dr. Raj. Thank you for joining us. We hope you enjoyed the fellowship and getting to know our club.

Beyond our projects, we also shared ideas for upcoming fellowship activities because we believe that stronger friendships build a stronger club, and a stronger club creates greater impact.

Here’s to more meaningful service, stronger fellowship, and creating lasting impact together!

Last July 8, the Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan held its first club meeting for Rotary Year 2026–2027.

We began by honoring the fruitful and successful year of Unite for Good under the leadership of Immediate Past President Heman Leopando, celebrating the accomplishments, service, and fellowship that brought us to this new chapter.

As we begin the Rotary year, High Impact President Sandie Bondad emphasized the importance of first strengthening and rallying the club, because a united club can achieve far more than individuals working alone. By building stronger fellowship and working as one team, we can create an even greater impact in the communities we serve.

The club also discussed its plans, projects, and priorities for the year ahead as we work toward creating meaningful and lasting change.

We also celebrated our President-Elect, Elmer and recognized his dedication and commitment as he prepares to lead the club in the coming Rotary year.

Finally, we warmly welcomed our guests, Gabe and Shaquille. Thank you for joining us and being part of our first meeting of the Rotary year!

Together, let us move forward with renewed purpose, stronger fellowship, and a shared commitment to Create Lasting Impact.

A New Year of Impact Begins. A Year of Service Is Honored. 💙💛

On July 4, we celebrated more than a successful handover and induction, we welcomed a new chapter of leadership for Rotary International District 3800 and the Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan while honoring those who made the previous year truly meaningful.

We proudly welcome High Impact Governor Celso Montalla as he leads District 3800 into Rotary Year 2026–2027, together with High Impact President Sandie Bondad as he begins a new chapter of purposeful leadership for the Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan.

Let us continue to stand together, support our leaders, strengthen our fellowship, and serve our communities with passion and purpose as we work together to Create Lasting Impact.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Good Governor Gina Sanchez for her inspiring leadership and for guiding District 3800 through a meaningful Rotary Year of Unite for Good.

We proudly honor Good President Heman Leopando for leading the Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan through an amazing and successful year filled with service, fellowship, and meaningful accomplishments.

The Youngest President in Club History. A New Rotary Year of Lasting Impact.

The Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan proudly introduces its new Club President, , for Rotary Year 2026–2027.

At only 28 years old, President Sandie makes history as the youngest President in the club’s history, bringing with him a strong passion for meaningful community impact.

His Rotary journey began during the term of Past President W***y in Rotary Year 2023–2024, and he was officially inducted in 2024. From there, he continued to serve actively as Vice President and later as President-Elect during Rotary Year 2025–2026.

Throughout his time in Rotary, President Sandie has shown his commitment by supporting meaningful service projects, including initiatives in education during the term of Past President Eric, and clean water during the term of Good President Heman.

Now, as he steps into his year of leadership, President Sandie carries a clear vision: to lead a united club that creates high-impact projects and lasting change in the communities we serve.

Guided by the theme Create Lasting Impact, this Rotary year is a call to serve with purpose, strengthen fellowship, and build a legacy of service that continues beyond a single year.

RC Downtown San Juan Meeting 4/22/26

Points Considered:

1. PE Sandie to schedule his induction sometime in mid July.
2. PE Sandie to select/finalize his club officers
3. We nominated RTN Elmer Magno for President RY 2028-29
4. Announced to the club the generous donation of RTN Khalid Kalil to make his Project Linawag Truck available to our club and District 3800 to be used/dispatched during emergencies and calamities which will provide electricity and internet connectivity. 5. Announced to the club RTN Daniel Anderson’s approval to coordinate with his company T1 on their Corporate Social Responsibility Program. I will reach out to his management team to coordinate the MOU/MOA with our club RCDSJ.
6. PE Sandie proposed a 1-2 night outing/conference/fellowship in Batangas.
