“SERVICE, LEARNING, AND GROWTH”

“Countless lessons. One deeper understanding of what it means to serve.”

As part of the WAMY Philippines Internship Program 2026, Ms. AISAH JAZEERAH S. SUBA, a Batch 2 WAMY PH Intern, shared her reflections and experiences throughout her two-month On-the-Job Training (OJT) at the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) Philippines Office.

Her experience reflects how an internship can go beyond academic requirements—becoming an opportunity to learn, grow, develop professional values, and understand the deeper meaning of service and deen.

Here is her reflection:

The two-month OJT experience at the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) was more than just an academic requirement; it provided a valuable opportunity for professional development, practical learning, and meaningful service. Throughout the experience, I developed a deeper appreciation for responsibility, professionalism, teamwork, and integrity in carrying out every task entrusted to me. Even seemingly simple administrative duties can play an important role in supporting meaningful humanitarian work and service to others.

My time at WAMY reminded me that knowledge becomes truly valuable when it is applied in ways that benefit and serve others fi sabilillah. This experience has strengthened my commitment to apply acquired knowledge and skills not merely for personal and professional advancement, but also in pursuit of service to the ummah.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM 2026 | SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

Yesterday, September 5, 2026, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) Philippines successfully held its Youth Leadership Program, bringing together young MSA leaders from across Metro Manila for a meaningful day of learning, character-building, and leadership development.

The training gave the participants an opportunity to gain knowledge and practical skills, strengthen their sense of purpose, and understand how they can become positive contributors to their communities.

From engaging discussions to interactive activities, the program emphasized three important values:

BE EQUIPPED - Gain knowledge and skills.
BE INSPIRED - Build character and purpose.
BE THE CHANGE - Create positive impact in your community and beyond.

WAMY Philippines extends its sincere appreciation to all the participants, speakers, facilitators, organizers, and the SAIA whose time, effort, and commitment made this program a success.

May the knowledge gained and connections built during this training inspire our young people to lead with faith, knowledge, character, and purpose. “Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.”

Allah says: “And whatever good you put forward for yourselves—you will find it with Allah.” (Qur’an 2:110)
Through Free Iftar, WAMY continues its commitment to serving humanity, strengthening communities, and sharing the blessings of Ramadan.
