The HIVE — HUMSS Initiative for Visionary Empowerment joined the International Coastal Cleanup Day alongside various organizations, clubs, and councils at the Laiya Ibabao shoreline on September 19.

Through this initiative, HIVE continues to stand for environmental protection and collective action.

The HIVE Council is always ready to protect the environment, advocate for what is right, and promote what is good for the people and society.

Ngayong Ninoy Aquino Day, isang special non-working holiday, ating ginugunita ang buhay, paninindigan, at sakripisyo ni Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.—isang mahalagang personalidad sa kasaysayan ng pakikibaka para sa demokrasya sa Pilipinas.

Sa paggunita sa araw na ito, alalahanin natin ang kahalagahan ng katapangan, kalayaan, at paninindigan para sa bayan.

Hindi lamang isang araw ng pag-alala, kundi araw ng pagkatuto mula sa kasaysayan. 🇵🇭

𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗪 𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗔𝗡 🇵🇭

Ang buong kolonya ng HUMSS for Visionary Empowerment (HIVE) ay nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kalayaan ngayong araw, Hunyo 12. Ang araw na ito ay marka ng paglaya natin mula sa pananakop ng mga dayuhan kung saan dumanak ang dugo, maraming buhay ang nalagas, at maraming adhikain ang ipinaglaban. Ngayong tinatamasa na natin ang kalayaan, marapat lamang na gamitin natin ito para sa ikabubuti ng lahat.

Marahil ay malaya na tayo mula sa panunupil ng mga dayuhan, subalit nananatili pa rin tayong nakakulong sa mga suliraning tayo rin mismo bilang mga Pilipino ang nakararanas. Kaya't tayo ay tumindig at makilahok sa pagtataguyod ng katotohanan, katarungan, at mabuting pamamahala.

Nawa'y maging mahalagang paalala ang araw na ito upang magsilbi tayong ilaw sa ating mga sarili at inspirasyon sa ating kapwa habang sama-sama nating ipinaglalaban ang isang mas maayos at mas makatarungang lipunan.

Malugod na ipinapaaabot ng HUMSS Initiative and Visionary Empowerment ang taos pusong pagbati kay Shienna Mae B. De Chavez at sa mga bawat mag-aaral na malugod na nagsipagtapos. Naghatid sya ng Mensahe ng Pasasalamat sa ginanap na 9th Commencement Exercises sa LINHS bilang kinatawan ng mga nagsipagtapos. Ibinahagi niya ang mga shared experiences ng bawat mag-aaral at ang mga sakripisyo ng bawat isa upang makarating sa kung sino man sila ngayon.

Inihalintulad niya ang isang makulay at makabuluhang paglalakbay sa isang cartoon show na Dora the Explorer kung saan ang bawat paglalakbay ay mayroong iba't ibang kwento, mga katanungan, at pagsubok na kinailangan harapin at lagpasan upang makarating sa patutunguhan.

Nagsalita s'ya hindi para sa kaniyang sarili, kundi para sa lahat ng mga mag-aaral na patuloy nagsusumikap upang makamit ang kanilang pangarap. Binigyang-diin nya na hindi sa lamang ang pagkapanalo ang susukat sa galing ng isang tao. Ipinaabot nya rin ang kaniyang pasasalamat sa mga taong naging kasangga ng mga nagsipagtapos sa loob ng isang buong school year nilang paglalakbay.

Higit sa lahat, binigyang-diin niya ang pagpapaabot ng pagpapahalaga sa isang taong madalas na nakaliligtaan ng karamihan–ang kanilang mga sarili.

Isang mainit na pagbati ng pagtatapos ang ipinaabot ng HIVE! Nawa'y katulad ng isinaad ni De Chavez, marami mang swipers ang ating kaharapin, harapin natin itong kagaya ni Dora the Explorer, mabigo man hahanap pa rin ng paraan.

HAMIG: The HUMSS HIVE Research Conference 2026

HAMIG 2026 brought together HUMSS students in a meaningful celebration of research, ideas, and real-life narratives under the subject Practical Research 1. The Grade 11 HUMSS students, as presenters, showcased their studies with depth, empathy, and a strong connection to social realities, proving that HUMSS goes beyond theories and gives voice to real experiences.

Congratulations to all presenters and organizers for a successful conference! 🐝
