It was August 2025, a month that should have felt ordinary,
yet it became a memory we will never forget.
The sun was shining softly, and the children of District V and Javier Village were already bubbling with excitement for our monthly Yuhom Project with Manang Nicole, our Lin-ay Kang San Jose de Buenavista.
Everything was prepared with love, chairs lined up, crayons waiting for small hands, smiles waiting to unfold.
But just when we were about to begin, the clouds gathered, quietlyโฆ then suddenly, the sky broke open.Rain poured hard. The kind of rain that could end a day. The kind that could wash away plans, efforts, and hope.
But it didnโt.
Instead, something beautiful happened.
The children didnโt run.
They didnโt cry.
They looked up, laughed, and welcomed the rain like a blessing.
And there, in the middle of the storm, Manang Nicole stayed, smiling, comforting, holding, guiding.
She didnโt step back; she stepped closer.
She didnโt fear the rain; she embraced the moment.
What could have been a ruined day became a story.
A memory. A reminder that sometimes, the best moments in life are the ones shaped by unexpected storms.
And that day, we saw who Manang Nicole truly is,
A heart that doesnโt dim when the skies darken.
A soul that chooses people over comfort.
A leader who serves with her feet planted firmly on the ground, and with compassion that never wavers.
Manang Nicole, thank you.
For giving your heart, your time, your warmth.
As you carry the story of San Jose de Buenavista to the Lin-ay Kang Antique stage, know that you bring with you every childโs laughter, every parentโs hope, and every prayer of the people who believe in you.
Whatever storm may come, you have already shown us, You are built to stand through it. And we are here, behind you, with love that does not falter.
