STATEMENT OF SUPPORT AND OFFICIAL STATEMENT AGAINST CORRUPTION
Transparency alone is insufficient without consequences. Jurisprudence underscores that effective control, investigation, and accountability are essential for anti-corruption measures to be successful.
We collectively call for greater transparency, accountability, and justice concerning the trillion pesos diverted from the Filipino people through persistent graft and corruption. This expression of solidarity supports the upcoming Trillion Peso March scheduled for November 30, 2025, at the People Power Shrine in Manila.
There should be no sacred cows. We advocate for prompt, fair, and decisive legal action against all officials, regardless of rank or political ties, proven to be involved in corrupt practices. As young individuals, it is imperative that we stand against such issues, as our future depends on addressing these challenges.
We invite scholars and youth of Antique to join the Prayer and Protest Rally organized that day by faith communities, AMLIG-Antique, and other civil society groups, NGOs, and youth organizations at Evelio B. Javier (EBJ) Freedom Park, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
We encourage everyone to wear white and to continue displaying white cloths and ribbons in front of our parish churches, chapels, schools, homes, and vehicles.
Public office is a public trust. Let this serve as a reminder that ultimate power lies with the people, and we will hold our leaders accountable for the trust bestowed upon them.
Tama na! Dapat may managot! Ang namulat ay di na muling pipikit.
