Due to the pending development and approval of the park's ecotourism management plan by the Protected Area Management Board. Furthermore, we will make the necessary announcements once the park is open for the public.

The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Occidental Mindoro in collaboration with the MIBNP-PAMO conducted a Tree Planting Activity entitled: "PICPA Tanim" last July 14, 2024 as part of their initiative for their Corporate Social Responsibility during the kick off of the Accountancy Week Celebration from July 14-20, 2024

H. E. Luc Véron, the European Union Ambassador to the Philippines, visited the Mounts Iglit-Baco Natural Park--Protected Area Management Office (MIBNP-PAMO) last July 9, 2024.

The European Union (EU) funded the Biodiversity Conservation and Management of Protected Areas (BCAMP) project in ASEAN. This BCAMP is a joint venture between the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity and the EU, aiming to conserve and manage ASEAN's biological diversity for global sustainability and social, economic, and environmental well-being.

The EU and the MIBNP-PAMO have been working together for the conservation of biodiversity and protection of the environment.

National Arbor Day!!! 🌳🌳🌳

Arbor is a Spanish word for “tree”.

In celebration of the “National Arbor Day”, the Mounts Iglit-Baco Natural Park-Protected Area Management Office conducted a tree planting activity together with the PENRO Mamburao personnel headed by PENRO Ernesto E. Tañada. This tree planting activity aims to reforest the denuded area within MIBNP that serves as the shelter of wildlife and to lessen the Climate Change.

With that being said, some personnel of Mounts Iglit-Baco Natural Park-Protected Area Management Office (MIBNP-PAMO) have recently graduated in their Primary level and secondary level under the Alternative Learning System (ALS). As they strive to be a better learner and protector of our environment.

The MIBNP-PAMO will support them in every step of the way towards the success that they want to achieve.

Call for Application

The Mindoro Biodiversity Corridor Project Management Unit (MBC-PMU) is looking for a Financial Analyst that will be stationed on PENRO Compound, Brgy. Payompon, Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro.

The Financial Analyst will focus on providing assistance in processing of finance related documents for the Project. Applications will be open until May 31, 2024.

For applicants who will pass the initial screening, a virtual interview and examination is scheduled on June 10, 2024.

With the goal of educating the youth about the Biodiversity of Mindoro and Biodiversity conservation. The Mounts Iglit-Baco Natural Park-Protected Area Management Office (MIBNP-PAMO) headed by the Protected Area Superintendent (PASu) Hector S. Aragones, Jr. together with the MIBNP-PAMO personnel and Tamaraw Conservation Program (TCP) personnel conducted a "Dalaw-Turo" to the High School Students of Divine Word College of San Jose, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, last March 19, 2024.

The Mindoro Biodiversity Corridor Project Management Unit (MBC-PMU) is looking for a Technical Staff (Biological and Spatial Approaches Coordinator) that will be stationed on PENRO Compound, Brgy. Payompon, Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro.

The Technical Staff will focus on providing technical assistance to the team and producing thematic maps for the Project.

✨Happy World Wildlife day!✨

The MIBNP is home to different kind of wild faunas and floras. The wildlife that inhabit the MIBNP play a special and amazing role inside the park; they are adding more significance to the park. It is fascinating to watch the floras inside the MIBNP and especially, the faunas roaming freely in their natural habitats.

The MIBNP is protecting the wildlife and through it, the MIBNP is also protecting the future of our next generation.
