๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐: The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Antique Council, led by the BSP Antique Rover Scouts, actively participated in the Pista Kang Kagubatan 2026. The massive environmental event took place in Barangay Sinundolan, San Remigio, Antique last Friday, June 26, 2026.
The tree-growing activity was organized by the Antique - Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) under Provincial Ordinance No. 2015-109, which schedules a massive tree planting day on the last Friday of June every year. This year, the project targeted the planting of around 2,000 fruit-bearing trees, including jackfruit (langka), cashew (kasuy), Java plum (lumboy), and coffee, to help build a "Food Forest" for the local residents.
With a strong commitment to nature conservation, the Rover Scouts joined hands with local community members and green advocates to plant trees and support the protection of Antique's natural forests. Through this activity, the scouts demonstrated the core scouting value of environmental stewardship, showing that young leaders play a vital role in building a sustainable future.
The BSP Antique Council extends its gratitude to the Province of Antique, especially through the Office of the Governor. The provincial government generously provided and lent the transportation vehicles used by the scouts to travel safely to and from the mountainous venue in San Remigio. This valuable support made the scouts' participation successful.
