Buck International (PSBI) based In Pennsylvania, USA which carries the legacy of Pearl S. Buck, its founder who is a renowned first American woman to be awarded both the Pulitzer and Nobel prizes for literature. In 2003, PSBP has been registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as non-sectarian, developmental and humanitarian assistance for Amerasian and displaced child

ren. PSBP is registered and licensed as service agency by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) until 2025. To date, PSBP has 550 sponsored children from the 4 areas of operations in Bulacan, Angeles, Olongapo and Leyte. Being a sponsored child and family, they were given educational assistance, (cash support, provision of school supplies, shoes among others, college tuition fees to selected scholars) health care (feeding program, vegetables backyard garden, medical/dental mission, nutrition education among others) and psychosocial initiatives (life skills seminar, career counselling Sportsfest and summer activities) . The generous sponsors are mainly from the USA while some 26 are so called “In-Country Sponsors” who lives in the Philippines. It is being guided by its By-Laws and Constitutions with elected 13 Board of Trustees headed by the Chairperson Emeritus and the President. Board of Trustees are from the ranks of education, business, law, security, public service, social work and health. It has consists of 10 full time staff headed by the Executive Director who is appointed by the BOT, 3 registered social workers and graduates of community development, nursing, finance management and social science courses. It has also 10 Area Coordinators from the areas who are sponsored mothers and guardians.

PSBP Congratulates another set of board passers. This time for Licensed Professional Teachers (LPT). These five (5) successful examinees were PSBP Scholars and their sponsors are from the US and Philippines. Their perseverance and faith to themselves echoes in the examination. May you continue to be courageous as you will face another battle to unravel. These five new educators are from Ormoc City and Olongapo City. We are so proud to share that PSBP has fourteen (14) Alumni board passers this year and thirty-eight (38) since 2003!

OUTSTANDING STAKEHOLDER🏅
We are honored to be recognized as an Outstanding Stakeholder Awardee for our contribution to the educational endeavours for and with the learners of Region 3, particularly in Muson Pabahay Elementary School, San Jose Del Monte City Bulacan.Recently, PSBP through the generous support of Afzal Family Foundation and Pearl S Buck International has donated a water filtration system to the said school. This is to provide a clean drinking water among the 5,400 elementary students and almost 200 non teaching personnel and staff.

This recognition inspires us to continue our collaboration with the Department of Education (DEPEd) in supporting programs and services that empower learners, strengthen communities that help shapes PSBP's vision -- Brighter Future for Filipino Children through Education!

PSBP Congratulates three alumni, Erica Mae A Bermas, RN of PSBP-Bulacan, Justin Jon P. Refuerzo, RN of PSBP-Olongapo City and Cindy Mae B. Aure, RN of Ormoc City for passing the PNLE (Philippine Nurse Licensure Exam 2025). Our generous partner for the two PSBP scholars is AY (Alfonso Yuchengco) Foundation who has been PSBP partner since 2017, while the Ms Aure's sponsor is Dennis and Ellen-Crowe Feick and Family. These three scholars are the 7th, 8th and 9th alumni who passed the licensure examinations conducted by the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC) this year. Ms Bermas has been a-PSBP sponsored child since elementary, while Mr. Refuerzo was adopted by PSBP during his last year in college to be able to continue his course. We are truly proud of these three young professionals who join the rank of the medical field. Another vision fulfilled-- Brighter Future for Filipino Children through Education.

WATER IS LIFE💧🌊💦
The Muzon Pabahay Elementary School (MPES) with 5,415 epementary students, 180 teaching and non teaching personnel are indeed very grateful to AFZAL Family Foundation and Pearl S Buck International for the gift of water filtration system and water pumps
for a clean drinking water and running water that can suppy up to 4 buildings of MPES. As the principal of MPES has mentioned " Isang biyaya at pagpapala ang handog na ito sa aming paaralan para sa mga bata" (a true blessing for our school and the children).

Thank you to one of PSBP board members, Ma'am Mary Ang who represented the board President PBGen Yolanda Tanigue on her behalf. PSBP is also grateful to Engr. John Robin SJ Cruz, the sole proprietor of Filtertime who personally managed the installation of the two water systems. The blessing, ribbon cutting and MOA signing was officiated by Fr Asis Bajao, OSA.

PSBP Congratulates another alumna, Ms Karen Joy C. Sanchez, CPA for passing the October 2025 board examinations for Certified Public Accountants. Karen Joy joined PSBP as sponsored child during her elementary days. We still remember the spark of your dreams when you were still tiny and young. As an active sponsored child and youth, you have showed confidence and trust in yourself with a light that guided your path. Your success in bridging your course from Financial Management to Accountancy and passing one of the most difficult baord exams in our country is more than a result...It is a story of courage, patience and grace. PSBP Congratulates Engr. Jaycee Emmanuel Mission for passing two board examinations for Electronic Engineers and Technicians. Jaycee is the fifth alumni of PSBP who passed the board examinations for this year. He joined PSBP when he was still a tiny but talented young elementary student. He actively participated in the foundation's programs and gatherings by showcasing his singing and dancing talents. As he grew older, his love for education never ceased, and so determined to become an engineer. Soar high, Jayceee. You are now a licensed electronics engineer and a licensed electronics technician.

PSBP-ASMPH-MPES COLLABORATION😊
The Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health in partnership and collaboration with PSBP and MPES (Muzon Pabahay Elementary School) will launch a program ESKWELUSOG for the more than 5000 elementary student of MPES. This is to educate the parents and the staff from the canteen of the school the nutitious and affordable meals in the canteen and in the tables of the families of the children. The goal is to reduce the number of malnourished children at MPES. The medical students from ASMPH will conduct a series of workshop and provide a booklet of nutritious menu that will serve a guide among the parents and canteen staff.
