The Angat Kabataang San JoseΓ±o (AKSJ) respectfully calls on the Local Government Unit of San Jose del Monte, the province of Bulacan, and all universities, colleges, and schools in our city to suspend classes on February 25, declare it a local non-working holiday, or implement an Alternative Learning Mode (ALM) in commemoration of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

As we mark another year since the peaceful uprising that restored democracy in our country, we believe that remembrance is not optionalβ€”it is a responsibility. February 25 is not merely a date in history; it represents the courage, unity, and collective action of Filipinos who stood together to defend freedom and democratic institutions.

At a time when historical truth must be safeguarded and civic participation must be strengthened, providing space for students, educators, and school personnel to meaningfully commemorate EDSA is an essential act of democratic commitment. Suspending classes or shifting to alternative learning arrangements will allow the academic community to participate in forums, discussions, community activities, and other initiatives that deepen understanding of EDSA’s relevance to present-day challenges.

Educational institutions are not only centers of academic instruction; they are vital spaces for cultivating critical thinking, civic responsibility, and active citizenship. Observing February 25 as a day of reflection and engagement affirms our shared duty to uphold truth, accountability, and people-centered governance.

We urge our local leaders and academic institutions to stand with the youth in honoring this historic milestone. Let us ensure that the spirit of unity and people power continues to inspire future generations in San Jose del Monte.

Honor history. Defend democracy. Never forget.

SARI-SARING COUP

(Yung KOJC expected. Yung JIL, disappointing, but understandable dahil priority nila ma protektahan si JoelV.)

Kaya 3 days yan, dahil sinusunod nila yung template of regime change ng EDSA 1 and 2 - several days of massive rallies followed by a withdrawal of support by the military.

So, tatamaan sina B**g Go, Villar, at Duterte family mismo.

For their plan to succeed, kailangan meron active General(s) na magwithdraw ng support.

Pero sa mga military chat groups, wala naman chatter na the top brass will be involved. Lalo pa na karamihan sa top brass natin are Amboys, and alam naman nila na super pro-China si Sara.

So, at best, 2nd or 3rd tier Generals lang ang pwedeng mag declare ng withdrawal of support.

Hhhhmmmm… medyo awkward.

Pero, if that’s what it takes to prevent the return of the regime of darkness, β€œWHY NOT, CHOCONUT?”

πŸ“’ CALL FOR FACE-TO-FACE CLASS SUSPENSION IN SAN JOSE DEL MONTE πŸ“’

From Angat Kabataang San JoseΓ±o

As a youth organization that upholds the welfare and safety of students, Angat Kabataang San JoseΓ±o earnestly calls on the Local Government of San Jose del Monte and the Department of Education to temporarily suspend face-to-face classes in all levelsβ€”public and private alikeβ€”amidst the continued reports of tremors and possible seismic activity.

San Jose del Monte lies within the West Valley Fault, a known major fault line that poses significant risk to residents and school facilities. Given this, we urge the city government to implement asynchronous modes of learning, whether through modular, online, or other home-based delivery methods, until a thorough inspection and safety assessment of all school buildings have been completed.

This call is not driven by fear, but by prudence and genuine concern for the lives of our students, teachers, and school personnel. The safety of every learner must always come before convenience or routine.

We believe that the temporary shift to alternative learning methods will not only ensure academic continuity but also give our city ample time to verify the structural integrity of schools situated near or within risk zones.
Let us act before tragedy strikes. Prevention is always better than regret.

Safety first, learning continues.
For the youth. For our city. For a safer San Jose del Monte.
