Sa araw ng iyong kaarawan, Mayor Leni Robredo, hindi lang po namin ipinagdiriwang ang isa pang taon ng iyong buhay—ipinagdiriwang namin ang liwanag na ibinigay mo sa bawat Pilipinong minsang nawalan ng pag-asa.

Tinuruan mo kaming maniwala muli. Na ang gobyerno ay maaaring maging tapat. Na ang lider ay maaaring makinig, magmahal, at maglingkod nang walang hinihinging kapalit. Sa simpleng pamumuhay mo, sa malasakit na hindi scripted, at sa tapang mong tumindig sa gitna ng unos—nabuo ang isang kilusan ng mga taong handang tumaya, hindi para sa sarili, kundi para sa bayan.

Dahil sa’yo, natutunan naming ipaglaban ang tama kahit mahirap. Natutunan naming mangarap muli, kahit ilang beses nang nadurog.
At hanggang ngayon, dala pa rin namin ang apoy na sinindihan mo sa aming mga puso.

Sa iyong kaarawan, ang tanging hiling namin—huwag mo sanang kalimutan na may milyon-milyong Pilipino pa rin ang naniniwala sa’yo. Naghihintay. Umaasa. Handa pa ring lumaban, basta’t kasama ka.

Sana, sa 2028… muli mong marinig ang panawagan ng bayan.

Hindi dahil kailangan ka namin.
Kundi dahil ikaw ang nagpapaalala sa amin kung anong klaseng Pilipinas ang posible.

| 𝗞𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗻𝗶 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮

Bilang isang Youth Volunteer, ating panoorin kung paano inaangat ni Sophia Garcia ang sektor ng kababaihan sa kanyang komunidad at kung paano siya patuloy na tumitindig para sa bawat Juana.

Sa unang episode ng Panipi, ating pakinggan ang mga naratibo at bigyan pagpapahalaga ang mahalagang papel ng kababaihan sa ating lipunan. Bitbit ang kaniya-kaniyang mga adbokasiya, kolektibong hangarin pa rin ang nais tunguhan: pagkakapantay-pantay, pagsasakapangyarihan, at katarungang pangkasarian. Ngayong buwan ng kababaihan, sama-sama natin ipagdiwang ang buwan sa pagbibigay atensyon at pagtatambol sa mga makabuluhang kwento at laban ng ating sektor.

𝘽𝘼𝘽𝘼𝙀 𝙆𝘼, 𝙆𝘼𝙎𝘼𝙇𝙄 𝙆𝘼!

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Kababaihan, kinikilala natin ang mahalagang kontribusyon ng kababaihan sa lipunan. Patuloy nating isulong ang mga inisyatiba na nagtataguyod ng karapatan, pagkakapantay-pantay, at pagpapalakas ng boses ng bawat kababaihan.

Nawa’y magsilbi itong paalala na ang kababaihan ay may mahalagang papel sa pagtataguyod ng isang makatarungan at inklusibong lipunan.

𝘾𝙇𝙄𝘾𝙆. 𝘾𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙀. 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙉𝙀𝘾𝙏. 📸✨

The Click. Create. Connect. Workshop organized by Angat Kabataang San Joseño was a huge success!

It was truly a fruitful day filled with learning, creativity, and inspiration. Participants had the privilege of learning from two incredible and passionate speakers: Leynard Jane Bondoc, who shared valuable knowledge and techniques in Photography, and Angelo Gillo, who inspired the youth through his expertise in Content Creation. Their experiences, insights, and encouragement empowered the participants to explore their creativity and discover the power of storytelling through digital platforms.

Through initiatives like this, AKSJ continues to ignite the passion, creativity, and potential of the youth by creating opportunities for learning, self-expression, and growth.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and to our speakers for generously sharing their time, talent, and expertise to inspire the next generation of creators.

"BABAE KA. HINDI BABAE LANG."

Sa bawat yugto ng kasaysayan, napatunayan na ng kababaihan na hindi sila "lang." Sila ang nag-oorganisa, nagtataguyod, naglilingkod, at nangunguna. Mula sa mga komunidad hanggang sa malalaking kilusan, kababaihan ang patuloy na humuhubog ng pagbabago.

Ngayon, binibigyang-pugay natin ang ating mga women volunteers — ang hindi napapagod mag-ingay at ang tatag na lakas sa likod ng bawat tagumpay. Kayo ang pundasyon ng bawat plano, bawat proyekto, at bawat paninindigan. Ang oras, pagod, at puso ninyo ang nagpapatakbo ng adbokasiya.

Ngayong ika-40 anibersaryo ng EDSA People Power Revolution, hindi lang ito alaala ng nakaraan—ito ay paalala ng kapangyarihang nasa kamay ng mamamayan.

Para sa henerasyon natin na lumaki sa social media, memes, at mabilis na balita—ang EDSA ay hindi lang kwento sa libro. Ito ay patunay na kapag ang kabataan at mamamayan ay nagkaisa, kayang baguhin ang takbo ng kasaysayan.

Noon, sa lansangan ipinaglaban ang demokrasya. Ngayon, sa bawat boto, sa bawat paninindigan, sa bawat pagkontra sa mali at pagtindig para sa tama—buhay ang diwa ng EDSA.

Ang People Power ay hindi lang isang araw. Isa itong responsibilidad.
Hindi lang isang kulay. Isa itong paninindigan.
Hindi lang alaala. Isa itong hamon sa atin.

Sa ika-40 taon, tanong sa atin:
Ano ang ipinaglalaban natin?
Paano natin iingatan ang kalayaang minana natin?

Ang namulat ay hindi na muling pipikit.

The Angat Kabataang San Joseño (AKSJ) respectfully calls on the Local Government Unit of San Jose del Monte, the province of Bulacan, and all universities, colleges, and schools in our city to suspend classes on February 25, declare it a local non-working holiday, or implement an Alternative Learning Mode (ALM) in commemoration of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

As we mark another year since the peaceful uprising that restored democracy in our country, we believe that remembrance is not optional—it is a responsibility. February 25 is not merely a date in history; it represents the courage, unity, and collective action of Filipinos who stood together to defend freedom and democratic institutions.

At a time when historical truth must be safeguarded and civic participation must be strengthened, providing space for students, educators, and school personnel to meaningfully commemorate EDSA is an essential act of democratic commitment. Suspending classes or shifting to alternative learning arrangements will allow the academic community to participate in forums, discussions, community activities, and other initiatives that deepen understanding of EDSA’s relevance to present-day challenges.

Educational institutions are not only centers of academic instruction; they are vital spaces for cultivating critical thinking, civic responsibility, and active citizenship. Observing February 25 as a day of reflection and engagement affirms our shared duty to uphold truth, accountability, and people-centered governance.

We urge our local leaders and academic institutions to stand with the youth in honoring this historic milestone. Let us ensure that the spirit of unity and people power continues to inspire future generations in San Jose del Monte.

Honor history. Defend democracy. Never forget.
