SAN JOSE de BUENAVISTA — The Amazing Youth of Antique, a dedicated group advocating for youth development, participated in the recent Quarterly Meeting of the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) held at the San Jose de Buenavista Municipal Hall. The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of the Youth Organizing and Resource Planning (YORP) process, as well as discussed upcoming activities organized by the Local Youth Development Office aimed at empowering young people across the province.

Representing the organization at the meeting was Stefhanie Dailogo, one of the AYA Officer committed to community service and youth empowerment. The gathering was attended by various youth organizations, fostering collaboration and shared goals among Antique’s youth sectors.

Kapoy ang election kung pinsarun pero I have high hopes for my fellow Kabataan Antiqueño. Darwa nalang ka adlaw ang na bilin sa pagpangampanya, sa akun mga kaimaw nga kabataan kag sa akun fellow scholars naga pangayo gid ako kang inyong bug-os nga supporta sa pagpangampanya kanakun sa inyong mga pamilya.

Kung magburuligay ang tanan nga kabataan kag tanan nga scholars kang probinsya, sigurado nga mangin madinalag-on kita. Ipakita natun ang pwersa kang mga kabataang Antiqueño. ❤️

I'm sharing my responses from my interview on DYKA's Between Lines radio program.

Question: Do you have any plans, through legislation, that Senior High students will be able to receive educational assistance?

- “Yes. We are looking forward sa aton mga senior high school actually if kaya ka aton resources, ka aton probinsya, especially may mga share man kita sa aton national wealth, we will work on that pati aton mga high school students kay hambal ko gani, bata ako ka solo parent, so I know every struggle of every parents. Nakita ko mismo sa akon Nanay, so simple educational assistance maski sa gamay nga amount makabulig gid sa aton nga mga ginikanan so by that matutukan man ka anda kabataan anda pag-eskwela.”

Question: Can you give specific details of your plans of legislation later on if ever elected as SP member that could possibly uplift the lives of our kasimanwas in Antique.

“Bilang Presidente ka aton Provincial scholars sa bilog nga probinsiya ka Antique, so ang akon nga main role is center kita sa edukasyon kay you know… if we have [a] stable support system, duro ang aton mga kasimanwa especially ang aton mga youth nga ma lessen naton ang out of school youth wherein we can encourage more enrollees to enroll in school…kay nagapati kita nga sangka estudyante lang ma gradwar sa kolehiyo sa sangka pamilya, bahol run nga pag-angat ka aton ekonomiya. So, bilang Presidente ka aton mga scholars, nagafocus gid ako sa pag-stabilize kang aton support sa aton education, sa pag-stabilize ka aton educational assistance kay every time may application ang aton educational assistance, there is no assurance yet for our college students kay duro aton applicants. So, we will try to work on that nga wherein every enrollees, may security nga mafeel when they enter to college nga after enrolling, may support sa (provincial) government.”
