In Memoriam: Mr. Carlo P. Mendez

It is with profound sadness that General de Jesus College announces the passing of our esteemed Chairman Emeritus, Mr. Carlo P. Mendez, who joined our Creator.
Mr. Mendez was more than a leader—he was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the mission of GJC. Through his visionary leadership, he helped shape the institution into a beacon of academic excellence and community service. His deep commitment to education and his love for the GJC family will forever be etched in our hearts.
We honor his memory with deep gratitude and respect. His legacy lives on in the generations of students, educators, and community members whose lives he touched.
We extend our sincerest condolences to the Mendez family during this time of grief. The entire GJC community joins them in mourning and in celebrating a life well-lived in service to others.
Today marks the scheduled cremation of Mr. Mendez’s remains, preceded by a memorial Mass in his honor.
Let us all take a moment to pray for the eternal repose of his soul and for comfort for the Mendez family during this time of loss.
