𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: A productive project inception for Round 2 of the Youth Climate Action Fund, supported by Bloomberg, was held yesterday, May 15, 2025, at the ASAS Wellness Training Center. The session included a webinar featuring the project timeline and tips on turning climate ideas into action.

Yesterday, 𝘈𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘭 22, 2025, the youth of San Francisco, Cebu gathered at the promenade to celebrate Earth Day and recognize the grantees of the 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘍𝘶𝘯𝘥 (𝘠𝘊𝘈𝘍) 𝘙𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 2. Out of 𝟓𝟎 project proposals submitted, 𝟐𝟕 outstanding initiatives received funding. This program, supported by Bloomberg, empowers young changemakers to take action for a greener future. From green innovations to marine conservation, these youth-led projects are set to make waves!

Among the highlighted projects were:
• 𝙎𝙃𝙊𝙏 𝙋𝙐𝙉𝙊 – 𝙖 𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝙗𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 of Cogon, Esperanza
• 𝘽𝙊𝙏𝙀-𝙎𝙐𝙍𝙀 𝙨𝙖 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 of North District Youth
• 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 of Camotes National High School
• 𝙀𝘾𝙊 𝙒𝘼𝙎𝙃 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙣 of Monte SK.

These projects serve as proof that today’s youth are not just the 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲—they are the 𝗻𝗼𝘄. With creativity, passion, and purpose, they are reshaping their communities for the better. San Francisco youth are ready to lead the climate fight, one project at a time.

Honored and grateful! Bloomberg Philanthropies through their program Youth Climate Action Fund (YCAF) has recognized the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) or the Youth Council of LGU San Francisco and featured our youth’s impact on ! This recognition highlights how our community continues to thrive, with young leaders stepping up and making a difference.

One of the greatest strengths of LGU San Francisco is how easily we can bring our youth together—like a snap of a finger—thanks to the unwavering support of our dedicated leader, Mayor Alfredo A. Arquillano Jr. His vision and advocacy have always been clear: " 𝘼𝙣𝙜 𝙠𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙪𝙢 𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙨𝙤𝙙". Through his leadership, the SK and the entire youth sector have the voice, resources, encouragement, and platform to actively participate in shaping a better tomorrow.

𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 | During the 2nd FSSLG Leadership Summit today February 20, 2025 with the theme: 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘴 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦, 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦, sir Max Dodson and ma'am Adrienne Arquillano took the stage to share their insights on YCAF. They highlighted the success of Round 1 projects and how they have made a real impact in addressing climate issues. More importantly, they encouraged the youth and teachers to take part in Round 2 of YCAF, a chance to turn their ideas into reality and drive meaningful change.

As the future leaders of San Francisco, the youth hold the power to shape a greener, more sustainable tomorrow. The choices we make today will define the world they will live in the future. Now is the time to act! 💚🌍
