Jayden may look okay on the outside, but the truth is that he is fighting battles that many people cannot see. Along with the physical challenges of chemotherapy, he has also been struggling emotionally. The medications have caused anxiety, mood changes, and overwhelming emotions that have been very difficult for him to manage.
Lately, he cries almost every day. Some days are better than others, but each day seems to bring a different emotional episode. There are moments when he becomes overwhelmed, frustrated, fearful, or deeply sad. As parents, it is heartbreaking to watch our child go through so much. We see the tears, the exhaustion, and the emotional pain that often remains hidden behind a smile.
One of the hardest things for us to hear is when Jayden tells us that he is tired of all the medications. After everything he has been through, we understand how exhausted he must feel. No child should have to carry such a heavy burden at such a young age. While many people see his bravery and strength, they may not see the emotional toll this journey has taken on him.
Despite these struggles, Jayden continues to fight every single day. He continues to show courage beyond his years, and we are so proud of him. Even in his weakest moments, he reminds us what true strength looks like.
Today, we are humbly asking for your prayers. Please pray that God will calm Jayden’s anxious heart and mind. Pray that He will take away the fear, sadness, and emotional distress that he is experiencing. Pray that God will give him comfort on the difficult days, strength when he feels tired, and peace when his emotions become overwhelming.
Most of all, please pray that Jayden can simply be a happy kid again. Pray that his laughter will return, that his smile will shine brighter, and that he will once again enjoy the little things that children should be able to enjoy without worry or fear. Pray that he will remain calm, find joy in each day, and feel surrounded by love, hope, and God’s presence.
Please continue to pray for his healing, for wisdom for his doctors, and for strength for our family as we walk this journey alongside him. We believe that God is holding Jayden close, even on the days when the road feels long and difficult.
