In today’s , all Main Office staff came together for an intimate time of prayer, lifting up the nation, the organization, and their personal battles before the Lord.

This moment served as a powerful reminder of how LIGHT deeply values God’s guidance in every aspect of life.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” — Philippians 4:6

Peter obeyed Jesus, yet he still faced the wind and waves. In today’s , all Main Office staff shared a moment of intimate conversation as they reflected on the recent morning devotion topic, “Strength to Stand in Trials,” guided by the following reflective questions:

• Ano ang dapat mong gawin kapag nahaharap ka sa bagyo ng buhay?
• Paano nakakapagpatibay ng ating pananampalataya ang mga pagsubok na ating hinaharap?

Through this, every employee was reminded that trials are part of life, but these do not come to weaken us. Instead, they can strengthen our faith, deepen our dependence on God, and teach us to keep our eyes fixed on Him in the midst of every storm.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. ” — Isaiah 41:10

In our recent three-day , Ptra. Kristine Zoe Jose, Partner-Mentor from LIGHT Balayan Branch, discussed the topic “Strength to Stand in Trials,” anchored in Matthew 14:28–31 and aligned with the theme “God’s Sustaining Grace – Advancing the Mission Together.”

She reminded us that life and work often bring storms, unexpected challenges, pressure, and fear. But like Peter, we are called to keep our eyes on Jesus, whose sustaining grace enables us to stand firm even in unstable situations.

The devotion highlighted that trials are a reality even for those who follow Christ. Peter obeyed Jesus yet still faced the wind and waves, showing that faith does not remove difficulties but equips us to endure them. When Peter shifted his focus from Jesus to the storm, he began to sink—revealing how easily fear grows when our attention turns to problems instead of Christ.

Ptra. Zoe emphasized that Peter’s cry, “Lord, save me,” marked his turning point, demonstrating that honest dependence on God invites His rescue. While grace does not always remove the storm, it lifts and sustains us through it.

As applied to life and work, we are encouraged to identify our personal “storms,” refocus on Christ through prayer, and invite Him into moments of pressure and uncertainty. By remembering how God has sustained us in the past, our faith is strengthened for present and future challenges.

The devotion reminds us that God’s grace strengthens our weak steps and steadies us through every trial—so with Christ, we can stand firm despite the waves.

“Kahit ang isang tao ay tapat sa Diyos, sumusunod, at kumakapit sa Kaniya, hindi po ibig sabihin noon ay exempted na tayo sa trials. Peter obeyed Jesus, yet he still faced the wind and the waves. Mga ka-LIGHT, following Christ does not remove difficulties; it equips us to endure them.” — Ptra. Zoe Jose

In today’s , the morning began with a joyful and energetic Zumba session as all LIGHT Main Office staff joined together in dancing as worship to the Lord. It was a beautiful reminder that at LIGHT, glorifying the name of Jesus is expressed not only in serious and weighty moments, but also in lighthearted and joyful ways.

Let us all be reminded that exercising and keeping our bodies healthy, fit, and strong help us become more effective and maximized in doing ministry for the Lord.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

In today’s , all Main Office staff came together for a meaningful conversation on the recent morning devotion topic, “The Challenge that Transforms the Mission,” reflecting on this truth: “We grow when we admit we don’t know everything.”

Together, they discussed the following questions:
• Bakit mahalaga ang pagiging bukas sa pagtanggap ng ating mga limitasyon?
• Paano nakakatulong sa teamwork ang pagiging bukas sa mga ideya ng iba sa halip na ipilit na tayo lang ang laging tama?

Through the discussion, everyone was reminded that humility is an important part of growth. When we acknowledge our limitations, we become more teachable, more understanding, and more willing to work with others. In the same way, being open to the ideas of others strengthens teamwork, builds trust, and helps the group move toward a shared mission with unity and wisdom.

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” — Philippians 2:3

In our recent three-day , Ptr. Win Sabanal, Partner-Mentor from LIGHT Iligan Branch, discussed the topic “The Challenge that Transforms the Mission,” reminding us that God often grows us by calling us beyond what is familiar and teaching us to trust Him more than our own understanding.

Anchored in Luke 5:4–7, the devotion reflected on Jesus’ instruction to Simon Peter to go deeper and let down the nets again, even after a night of unsuccessful labor. It showed that there are moments when our experience, effort, and expertise seem to fall short, yet God still invites us to obey. Like Peter, we may be tempted to rely only on what we know or on the results of the past, but the passage reminds us that God’s direction can lead us into greater outcomes than we could achieve on our own.

Ptr. Win also emphasized that obedience in uncertainty is part of faith. Peter’s response, “But because you say so, I will let down the nets,” revealed a heart willing to trust even without clear assurance of success. The devotion reminded us that past failures should not keep us from responding to God’s call today. When we admit that we do not know everything, we make room for God to work powerfully in ways that go beyond our expectations.

As applied to daily life and work, Ptr. Win encouraged everyone to think of the things they may have already given up on and bring them back to God in faith. In the workplace, this means not being limited only by past results or data, but remaining open to wise action, helping people others may overlook, and prioritizing transformation over simple accomplishment. Rather than focusing only on targets, we are reminded to see how our work can become a channel of lasting impact and blessing in the lives of others.

Through every challenge, God can turn emptiness into abundance and failure into a testimony of His faithfulness. When we trust and obey Him, He can use both our life and our work for His greater purpose.

“Do not let fear or discouragement stop you from trying again. Let us be reminded, by the grace of God, restoration is still possible. Mga ka-LIGHT, kaya po nating i-restore ang mga bagay sa buhay natin na importante if we trust God, step out of our comfort zone, and keep moving forward in faith. By His grace, may we never give up.” — Ptr. Win Sabanal

In today’s , selected Main Office staff from each Accountability Group participated in a “Bring Me” game with a twist, where they searched for a coin hidden in different corners of the office. All staff who failed to bring back a coin were asked to share what they were thankful for this week.

As we observe Day of Valor, we remember the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for the freedom of the Filipino people. In a way that echoes Christ’s love shown on the cross, their courage reminds us that true sacrifice is rooted in love, service, and the willingness to give for others. May their valor continue to inspire us to live with faith, gratitude, and courage.
