The FSC-SBO joined the invitation of SM City La Union for the World Water Day Coastal Clean-Up held last March 26, 2026, at Brgy. Canaoay, City of San Fernando, La Union. The organization was represented by FSC-SBO Vice President Russel John M. Gurtiza and FSC-SBO Public Relations Officer Mira Rendon, together with officers from various SSG/SSLG organizations.

This initiative highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship and collective action in protecting our coastal communities. With a shared goal, the youth leaders actively participated in cleaning efforts, promoting awareness on marine conservation, and demonstrating their commitment to preserving our natural resources.

Through activities like this, the FSC-SBO continues to empower student leaders to take part in meaningful causes, inspiring fellow kabataang Fernando and Fernanda to be proactive in safeguarding the environment for future generations. 🌊♻️

Did you know that in 1998, a visionary leader laid the foundation of the Student Body Organization, shaping generations of student leaders and empowering youth voices?

For every Kabataang Fernando and Fernanda, the SBO continues to stand as a symbol of unity, leadership, and service, and until now, it remains strong under the guidance of its founder, who continues to serve as the current SBO Coordinator.

Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of that remarkable man. Happy Birthday to the Father of SBO, Sir Joseph “Jojo” De Guzman! 🎉

Your passion, leadership, and unwavering commitment continue to inspire us to lead with purpose and serve with heart. 💙

𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 | 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

The Federation of Student Councils – Student Body Organization (FSC–SBO) sincerely apologizes for the incorrect announcement of the Star Search Champion during the SBO Night held last March 11, 2026.

Due to an error during the announcement, it was mistakenly declared that Ms. Kaithlen Mae Atijera of Lorma Colleges won the competition. However, the rightful Star Search Champion is Ms. Keneisha Ghael Lobaton from Lingsat Integrated School.

Last Thursday, March 12, we already communicated with both parties to formally address the matter. Rest assured that the organization have already conducted a thorough investigation regarding the incident to determine what led to the error and to ensure that proper measures are taken to prevent similar situations in the future.

We would also like to emphasize that we are mindful of the mental and emotional well-being of both parties involved. We ask everyone for your understanding, respect, and sensitivity as this matter is being taken care of.

The FSC–SBO remains committed to transparency, fairness, and integrity in all of our activities. We are proud of the talents showcased by the Kabataang Fernando and Fernanda, and we commend every participant for their outstanding performances and dedication.

We sincerely ask for your understanding as we work to uphold the values of accountability and respect for all.

Thank you very much.
