Great News for Our Beloved Seniors & Their Supporters!
We’re excited to share that the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) have officially launched the Digital National Senior Citizens ID (NSCID)! It’s now available through the eGovPH Super App—a big step toward easier access to government services for our elder loved ones.
Here’s why this matters:
The app will automatically display the digital senior citizen ID for those already registered in PhilSys when they turn 60—no more going to offices or filling out extra paperwork!
Once implemented nationwide, this can benefit up to 12 million senior citizens across the Philippines.
The goal? To make accessing discounts, healthcare, transportation, and other benefits seamless, dignified, and fraud-resistant.
NCSC and DICT will run digital literacy trainings and deploy info officers in LGUs, assisted by private sector and academic partners, to help seniors install and navigate the app.
Meanwhile, the DICT is expanding internet connectivity—even in remote areas like Batanes or Tawi-Tawi—so no corner of the Philippines is left behind.
📲 How to Install the eGovPH App (and get the Digital Senior Citizen ID):
Open the Google Play Store on your or your senior’s Android phone.
Search for “eGovPH Super App” and tap Install.
Once installed, open the app and register using your mobile number—you’ll get a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS.
Verify your account by entering your name, birthdate, home address, and performing a facial scan as guided by the app. This links you to your PhilSys records.
If you're already a PhilSys registrant aged 60 or above, your digital Senior Citizen ID should appear automatically in the app—no additional steps needed!
💡 Friendly Tips & Reminder: Support matters! If the senior you’re helping isn’t comfortable with smartphones, sit with them as they download and register—it can make a world of difference.
Stay connected. If internet access is an issue, find a nearby LGU office, library, or free Wi-Fi spot where they can do this.
Keep your phone number updated—the app uses that for SMS verification, and changing it can be tricky later.
Share the love! Encourage family, friends, or community volunteers to help seniors, especially those who might not be tech-savvy or those in remote areas.
💖 Let’s spread the word and help make this digital leap easy, accessible, and empowering for our elders. They deserve to feel valued, supported, and included—always!
