A PSA or Public Service Announcement is a short film made to bring awareness to real everyday issues like social anxiety.

Overthinking traps you in endless doubt – wondering if it's complete, if there's a mistake, if you'll be judged for not understanding. The fear keeps you silent, stuck in your head.

But speaking up changes everything. One question to a friend breaks the isolation, invites clarity, and replaces anxiety with real support.

It's not about perfection. It's about connection. Asking for help isn't weakness – it's the first step to relief. Choose your voice over the silence.

Your question unlocks answers. Your words build bridges.

"You don't have to figure it out alone."
"Clarity starts with one question."

A PSA or Public Service Announcement is a short film made to bring awareness to real everyday issues.

We are always connected. But somehow more disconnected than ever. We sit together, but we are not really there. We scroll through perfect moments while missing the real ones right in front of us.

Your friends tell a story, you see a notification. Someone shares good news, you see a trending video. The group laughs, you like a post. We are physically present, but mentally absent.

Being present is not just putting down the phone. It is choosing people over pixels. Choosing conversation over content. Choosing memories over moments that disappear when you refresh.

The phone will always be there. The moment will not.

"You never know the value of a moment, until it's a memory."
"Your phone can wait. The moment won't. Value it."

A PSA or Public Service Announcement is a short film made to bring awareness to real everyday issues. β€œBukas Nalang” is about one of the most common, but most ignored, habits in student life: procrastination.

We all know how it starts. You see the task, you see the deadline, and you tell yourself, β€œLater. I still have time.” You scroll for a bit, you rest β€œfor five minutes,” and suddenly the sun is rising and the deadline is three minutes away.

It feels harmless in the moment, but every β€œbukas nalang” slowly trades your peace for pressure. The work does not disappear. It only waits, gets heavier, and shows up as panic, guilt, and β€œsana sinimulan ko na mas maaga.”

This PSA is not here to shame anyone. It is a reminder that taking one small step now is an act of kindness to your future self. Starting does not need to be big or perfect. It just needs to be today.

Procrastination does not make the task easier. It only makes the pressure heavier.

A PSA or Public Service Announcement is a short film made to bring awareness to real everyday issues. And this one is as real as it gets.

We have all been in a group project. And if you are being honest, you already know which role you played.

There is always that one person who carries everything quietly. Not because they want to. But because no one else stepped up. They do not complain. They just finish it. And when the grade comes out, everyone celebrates equally.

It is easy to say you were busy. It is harder to admit that someone else paid the price for it.

Being part of a group is not just putting your name on the output. It is showing up, contributing, and being someone your groupmates can actually count on. Because behind every late night submission is a person who deserved better teammates.

A group project means shared effort. Do your part.

β€œSilent Scars” is a visual reminder of the pain that often goes unseen. Behind closed doors, many endure battles that leave no visible marks, yet weigh heavily on the heart.

This piece calls for compassion and awareness for listening to the unspoken and standing with those who suffer in silence. Healing begins when voices are heard and kindness is shown.

β€œSa Bawat Butil” (In Every Grain) is a reflection of the effort and hope behind every harvest. Each grain of rice symbolizes the hands that planted, cared, and worked tirelessly to bring food to our tables.

As we celebrate World Food Day, may this serve as a reminder to value what we have, to avoid waste, and to share with those who have less. Together, we can build a community that nurtures gratitude, generosity, and care for one another.

Every harvest tells a story of hard work, hope, and perseverance. β€œAldaw Jay Taltalon” (The Day in the Fields) honors the farmers who rise with the sun and work with their hands to feed the nation. Their dedication reminds us that every grain of rice carries the spirit of sacrifice and love for the land.

This creative piece was made to celebrate the unsung heroes of our fields and to remind everyone to value the hands that cultivate our food. Through art and storytelling, Layag Film Club continues to highlight the strength, unity, and purpose found in everyday lives.
