Camp BGen Oscar M. Florendo โ More than a ceremonial visit, the arrival of Ms. Mary Rose O. Nartatez, National Adviser of the PNP OLCFI, unfolded into a meaningful day of unity, service, and hope as the Police Regional Office (PRO) 1 carried out a series of activities reflecting the true essence of public service.
The day opened on a solemn note with a Thanksgiving Mass, where PRO 1 personnel and guests gathered in prayer, offering gratitude for continuous blessings and seeking guidance in their shared mission of serving the community.
Moments later, the atmosphere turned vibrant as Ms. Nartatez, together with the PNP OLCFI Officers and members, arrived to warm foyer honors and a cultural dance presentation. She was formally received by the PRO 1 leadership led by Regional Director PBGEN Dindo R. Reyes, alongside Ms. Hershey Reyes, Adviser of PRO 1 OLCFI, in a ceremony marked by respect and tradition.
Service took center stage as the visit progressed.
In a strong display of compassion and solidarity, 108 PRO 1 personnel participated in a bloodletting activity, each donation symbolizing a shared commitment to saving lives. Conducted in coordination with the Regional Medical and Dental Unit 1 and in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross โ La Union Chapter, the initiative highlighted the organizationโs humanitarian spirit beyond its law enforcement mandate.
The focus on personnel welfare was equally evident as Ms. Nartatez led the blessing and inauguration of the newly established PRO 1 Gymnasium and Barbershop, designed to promote physical well-being, morale, and holistic development.
The formal program followed, highlighted by the oath-taking of ten (10) PRO 1 OLCFI Officers, signifying renewed commitment to leadership, integrity, and service. This was followed by the โLove and Blessing in Actionโ program, where 16 PRO 1 personnel beneficiaries received grocery packages, health kits, and financial assistance, providing meaningful support and renewed hope.
Further strengthening both infrastructure and institutional capability, the blessing of the PRO 1 Function Hall underscored the organizationโs continuous efforts to enhance facilities that support operations and personnel welfare.
In a message marked by gratitude and heartfelt encouragement, Ms. Nartatez underscored, "Sa ating mga kapulisan, saludo ako sa inyong dedikasyon. Alam naming hindi madali ang inyong trabaho. But plese rememberโyou are not alone. We are here to support you, to stand with you, at iparamdam sa inyo na kayo rin ay inaalagaan. Let us continue to be instruments of hope, channels of blessings, and bearers of love in our respective roles."
More than the sequence of activities, the visit told a deeper storyโone of unity anchored in service, and compassion translated into action. It reflected how PRO 1 and OLCFI, beyond their respective roles, are bound by a common mission to uplift lives, strengthen communities, and inspire hope.
PRO 1 remains committed to programs that enhance both personnel welfare and community service. With the continued support of OLCFI, these initiatives continue to promote unity, generosity, and meaningful public service.
