Our office, in partnership with the Negros Occidental Tldc headed by Ms. Estelita Apelo and City Agriculturist's Office headed by Mr. Ricardo Panunciar, Jr., carried out the formation activity and livelihood skills training on native delicacies, bar soap-making, and candle-making to 65 youth participants from barangays Palampas, Punao, and Quezon thru the Brgy. Quezon Sangguniang Kabataan headed by Hon. Jerico Magno who was also present.

This meaningful activity would not be possible without the consistent support of our City Mayor Rene Gustilo!

SK Federation President of Negros Occidental, BM Mayvelyn Leyson Madrid was also present and shared an inspirational message.

Today, our participants learned income-generating skills, and built on their values and character as emerging leaders in their schools, organizations, and communities. May this new learning open real and lasting opportunities for our youth. Vamos, San Carlos! 🤝🏼🌱

Our office distributed multivitamins, milk, and rice to Barangays Quezon and Rizal, both with high number of malnourished children under 5 years old. This is a supplemental nutrition program to the ongoing efforts of the barangays and city's Primary Care Facility.

The supplies were turned over to Brgy. Quezon Sangguniang Kabataan and Sangguniang Kabataan- Barangay Rizal and their respective barangay nutrition scholars.

By nurturing children's bodies with supplements coupled with proper nutrition, we invest and build brighter and healthier futures for generations to come 🍊🥦🥕

Funding allocation of said program is from the GAD Focal Point System and is part of the 2026 Linggo ng Kabataan celebration. Vamos, San Carlos!
