With profound sadness, we announce the passing of CPT ROLANDO F. ANDUTAN 0-99857 ( INF) PA, who peacefully departed on July 11, 2026 due to cardiac arrest.

CPT Andutan faithfully served as the Commandant of this Unit from Batch 2002-2018 and was also the former Commanding Officer of Charlie Coy, Ready Reserved Battalion, with the Area of Responsibility (AOR) covering the 1st District of Negros Occidental.

His dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to duty will always be remembered by those who had the privilege of serving with him.

His remains lie in state at the Garden of Saints Chapel, San Carlos City.

His funeral service will be held on 180900 July, 2026 at the Memorial Park, San Carlos City.

We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the bereaved family. May his soul rest in eternal peace and may his family and loved ones find strength and comfort during this difficult time.

As you move forward, continue to uphold the values you have lived—integrity, leadership, and service above self. The training may end, but the character you have built will remain with you wherever you go.

Indeed, a Happy New Year to all Advanced ROTC Cadets!

Early this morning, 13 January 2026, the Advanced ROTC Officers of the Tañon College and CPSU-DJVV ROTC Unit, CL-HIYAS and CL-MASIGLAK received their Subsistence Allowance for the Second Semester of AY 2024–2025, as well as the Supplementary Allowance of CL-MASIGLAK and CL-KAMPILAN for the First Semester of AY 2025–2026.

The reimbursement of cash to the Advanced ROTC Officers from Tañon College and CPSU–DJVV Campus was successfully distributed by Cpl Sandy Contrata (INF) PA, Finance NCO, and SSg Cleo Villanueva (MI) PA, ROTC NCO Division, with the assistance of TSg Eric Elreih Aromin (INF) PA and TSg Milover Nardo (INF) PA, Tactical NCOs from both ROTC units.
The activity was conducted at the CPSU–DJVV Campus Covered Court, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

These allowances serve as a reward and a testament to the hard work, courage, dedication, and passion demonstrated by each Cadet Officer toward personal growth, service to Tañon College, CPSU–DJVV Campus, and the communities they continuously serve.

||TCIROTCU Advanced Cadet Officers Received Subsidiary Allowance for First Semester AY 2024–2025||

On 240900 August 2025, the Advanced Cadet Officers of Tañon College ROTC Unit received their Subsidiary Allowance (SA) for the First Semester of AY 2024–2025, together with the Advanced Cadet Officers of CPSU, at CPSU DJVV Campus, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

The cash allowance from the Philippine Army through Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) was successfully distributed by the Finance Officer of the 6th Regional Community Defense Group (6RCDG), with the assistance of the 605th Community Defense Center (CDC) personnel and Tactical NCOs from both ROTC units.

The allowance serves as a significant support for the former students of Tañon College and stands as a reward for their dedication, active service, hard work, and passion—not only for their unit but also for the entire school. The cadet officers’ morale was notably high upon receiving this well-deserved assistance.
