YES-O Officers: True Leaders in Action

Leadership is not just about holding positions—it’s about showing responsibility, commitment, and heart for service. Despite being busy catching up with their lessons and other school activities, our YES-O Officers still find time to serve the school with passion.

One of the ways they show this is through their active participation in keeping the campus clean. Whether it’s picking up litter, organizing clean-up drives, or setting an example of discipline, these young leaders prove that small acts of responsibility create a big impact on the school community.

Even with their hectic schedules, you can clearly see their heart for serving the school. Their willingness to go beyond academics to ensure a clean and healthy environment reflects their genuine commitment to the values of responsibility and environmental stewardship.

Their actions remind us that leadership is best shown through example. They do not just give instructions; they walk the talk. And because of this, the SAAVS community will always be proud of these young leaders who inspire their fellow students to follow their path of discipline, service, and love for the environment.

SAAVSians, the Month of Wonders has officially begun!

Today, September 1, 2025, marks the opening of the Science and Mathematics Month celebration at SAAVS. Although there are no classes due to suspension, we take this opportunity to formally announce that the month of September is dedicated to honoring the importance of Science and Mathematics in education and nation-building.

This year’s celebration carries the theme:
“Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future Through Science and Innovation.”

A series of activities and competitions will be conducted throughout the month to inspire learners to appreciate the beauty of numbers and the wonders of scientific discovery. The YES-O (Youth for Environment in Schools Organization) will also actively participate and extend its support to ensure the success of the celebration.

From Bottles to Bins, From Waste to Worth: A Creative Science Project by Grades 7 & 8 Students of San Antonio Agricultural and Vocational School

The SAAVS YES-Organization proudly supports this eco-friendly project of Grade 7 and Grade 8 students in their Science subject. Made from plastic bottles, used tires, and nets, these colorful bins are designed exclusively for plastic bottle waste.

Collected bottles will not go to waste—they will be reused or recycled for future projects, promoting sustainability and environmental preservation. 💚
