𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮! 🛺

Ngayong araw, 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘆𝗼 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, ipinagdiriwang ang 𝗶𝗸𝗮-𝟰𝟱𝟱 𝗻𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗴 𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮. Idineklara rin ng Malacañang ang araw na ito bilang 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆 upang mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga Manileño na makiisa sa mga pagdiriwang.

Bukod-tangi ang Maynila—isang lungsod na mayaman sa kasaysayan at kultura, tahanan ng mga makasaysayang pook at makabagong gusali, at higit sa lahat, sa bawat sulok ng lungsod ay mga kuwentong patuloy na humuhubog sa pagkakakilanlan nito at ng mga taong tinatawag itong tahanan.

The FEU HS Scholars’ Society is now calling on aspiring TamScholars who are ready to serve the community, committed to creating trailblazing initiatives, and driven by competence to join the Board of Directors for Academic Year 2026–2027.

𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗛𝗜𝗡: 𝙋𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙜 𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙀𝙐 𝙃𝙎 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙨’ 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙧𝙖𝙬 𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙖𝙣

𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗸𝗶𝘁𝗮, 𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘆𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻.

Hindi ito kumakalansing, hindi nakatali sa kamay o paa, ngunit naroroon—umiikot sa paraan ng pamamahala, sa daloy ng kapangyarihan, at sa mga pasyang nagtatakda kung sino ang maririnig at kung sino ang mananatiling tahimik.

Ipinanganak ang kalayaan sa kagitingan. Sa tapang na humarap sa isang sistemang nagkait ng dangal at karapatan, at sa paninindigang ang bayan ay hindi dapat manatiling bihag ng kapangyarihang hindi nananagot. Ngunit hindi nagtapos sa digmaan ang kagitingang iyon; iniwan nitong pamana ang obligasyong bantayan ang kalayaang ipinaglaban.

Nagbago man ang anyo ng mga pagsubok, nananatili ang kanilang bigat. Ang korapsyon ay hindi na lamang lantad na pang-aabuso, kundi sistemang unti-unting nagiging “normal”. Ang kawalang-pananagutan ay hindi na lamang pag-iwas sa responsibilidad, kundi katahimikang tinatanggap ng marami.

𝘚𝘢 𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘬𝘢𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘺 𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪 𝘯𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘢—𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪-𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪 𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘸.

Dito marahil nagiging pinakamabigat ang tanong: paano mo matatawag na malaya ang isang bayan kung ang katotohanan ay kailangang ipaglaban pa rin sa loob ng sarili nitong institusyon?

Higit pa sa paglaya mula sa pananakop ang tunay na kalayaan: Ito ay kakayahang igiit ang katarungan kahit sa loob ng sariling sistema, at paninindigang ang kapangyarihan ay dapat laging sinisingil ng pananagutan.
