Each of these numbers represents a unique leader who God impacted through DAI's staff, programs, and resources last year.

Leadership development may be slow work, but it's strategic work that can catalyze exponential change.

Your prayers, generous support, and commitment to DAI's mission are what makes our work possible - thank you!

This week we were able to conduct trauma healing as part of our ongoing Leadership Certificate Program. It was encouraging to hear from our participants that this was their first time learning about the meaning and dynamics of lamentation. They also appreciated learning about the process of grieving. Many of them previously believed that, as Christians, we don’t need to grieve—but they discovered that healing actually begins with the grieving process, just as Jesus wept at the death of His friend.

This was truly encouraging for us, realizing that our brothers and sisters in Christ long for this kind of learning. It is truly transforming. Sometimes we neglect the idea that we carry trauma, but honestly, as we minister to others, we may also experience what is called secondary trauma.

We praise God for this meaningful learning experience.

Last weekend, our team facilitated two sessions in our Growing Marriage course: Marriage and Your Deepest Needs and Marriage Essentials. We are thankful for the meaningful discussions and group activities that took place. One participant commented, “I want to continue learning about the Growing Marriage workshop to deepen my understanding and grow in relationship with Christ and with each other.”

This Growing Marriage course by DAI helps Christians and church leaders grow spiritually within the context of marriage. Most importantly, it encourages couples to strengthen their relationship together, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Easter confronts us with a difficult truth: real life often lies on the other side of death. Not only physical death, but the death of illusions, control, pride, and the many false forms of life we try so hard to preserve. The Christian story does not begin with resurrection. It passes through the cross.

Easter invites us not merely to admire Jesus, but to allow God to lead us through this same pattern: death that opens into life. However, this life is the opening of an entirely new reality.

Jesus's resurrection brings a new dimension of God's Spirit into the world - restoring life, people, and ultimately all of creation.

This raises an important Easter question, especially for those who lead others: does our life and leadership contribute to this renewal? Do the environments we shape – our teams, communities, and relationships – bear signs of this new life of the Spirit?

Last weekend, the DAI Philippines
team had the privilege of facilitating a session and preaching during the first annual conference of our ministry partner, who has faithfully journeyed with us since 2019. It was a beautiful gathering, with more than 200 participants coming together from the seven daughter churches of this ministry. We are deeply grateful to witness how God continues to work powerfully in and through their ministry. What a joy it was to celebrate His goodness and be united with His people in worship and fellowship.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to connect people with one another. This week has been a beautiful reminder of why we continue our commitment to this community: to share the love of Jesus with the children of this tribal village. Through every smile, every story, and every moment of fellowship, we see how God’s love brings hope and joy to even the smallest hearts.

The opportunity to conduct workshops in these areas is so encouraging—not because of what we bring, but because of seeing how God works in their lives. Listening to the story of how the ministry started in this area is truly amazing. The faith, passion, and humility of the people beautifully exemplify the depth of their faith. Just an hour’s motorbike ride from the main town of Coron Island (Northern Palawan), it is truly a blessing to share the growing marriage materials of DAI with our brothers and sisters in these communities.

This new year, may you flourish and grow strong in the Father's love. May you grow tall alongside others, not competing with them but using your gifts to bring out their own.

"I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever." (Psalm 52:8)
