Making Waves for a Cleaner Coastline!

​The PICE IGaCoS Chapter recently headed to the Brgy. Villarica Baywalk for a successful Coastal Clean-up Drive. This initiative serves as our chapter’s proud contribution to the Earth Day celebration, proving that our commitment to building a better world starts with protecting our natural environment.

​This effort was made possible through the invaluable support of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office and the hard work of our dedicated volunteers. To everyone who showed up with gloves, sacks, and a shared vision for a cleaner Samal Island: Thank you. Your dedication ensures our marine life is protected and our baywalk remains a beautiful landmark for all. 🌊

PICE-IGaCoS Charting the Course: 1st Strategic Planning Success!

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) - Island Garden City of Samal Chapter successfully conducted its very first Strategic Planning Meeting, plotting PICE-IGACOS' steps for its first year. The meeting, attended by our dedicated organization officers and the proactive members of our various Technical Committees gathered to map out a vision for the year ahead. It was a day of collaboration, focused on ensuring that our chapter doesn't just function, but thrives as a pillar of excellence in our community. 🏗️🏝️

During the session, PICE-IGACOS laid the groundwork for an packed 2026 full of activities. With proposed activities, outreach programs, seminars and projects in store that aims to leave a positive impacts on its members and the City of Samal. The different working committees of PICE-IGACOS are also engaged for the smooth and efficient delivery of the Institute's operations and functions, pivotal to the seamless functioning and overall success of our organization. 🤝✨

PICE–IGACOS Chapter at the 51st PICE National Convention in Bacolod City! ✈️🏙️

A meaningful journey filled with learning, camaraderie, and great experiences! 💙

Our PICE–IGACOS delegates proudly joined fellow civil engineers from all over the country in the 51st PICE National Convention, held in the City of Smiles — Bacolod City. From the exciting travel moments and warm welcome upon arrival, to sharing good food and laughter while waiting for our accommodations — every moment reminded us of the true spirit of unity and fellowship in our profession.

This convention is not only a time to gain new knowledge and insights but also an opportunity to strengthen bonds and celebrate our pride as civil engineers. Truly an enjoyable and inspiring experience for the whole team! 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

Building Partnerships for a Sustainable Samal 🌴🏗️

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – Island Garden City of Samal (PICE–IGACOS Chapter), led by Chapter President Engr. Wilfredo A. Balaye, together with the Officers and Board of Directors, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Lemuel T. Reyes, City Mayor of IGACOS, on October 27, 2025.

The meeting served as an avenue to introduce the newly accredited chapter officers and to express our commitment to support the City Government in advancing its programs toward sustainable and responsible infrastructure development across the island.

PICE–IGACOS Chapter extends its gratitude to Mayor Reyes for the warm accommodation and for his continued support to the engineering community. Together, we look forward to a stronger partnership in building a better and more resilient Samal. 🇵🇭🤝
