Ang Peñapalata Top45 Basketball Sunday Club hugyaw nga nagmalampuson sa gipahigayon nga Pre-Fiesta League sa Purok 5B Urban, Brgy. Peñaplata kagahapon April 12, 2026..

Gipaabot sa Club ang dako kaayong pasalamat sa mga tao nga nagpaluyo og naghatag og kinabuhi sa maong paliga kay tungod sa inyong makanunayong suporta naangkon sa 80 plus ka mga myembro sa club ang kapiskay sa panglawas pinaagi sa pasingot ingon man ang panaghiusa sa tanang myembro niini..

Nahuman ang paliga pinaagi sa Championship Game nga gidula tali sa Green Team og Yellow Team nga diin nakab'ot sa Green ang kampeonato. Adunay gipahigayon nga mid-court shootout para sa mga onlookers og free throw shooting para sa mga kababaihan before nagsugod og in-between sa dula nga diin naghatag og papremyo si Konsehal Darwin S. Arig og duha ka tag 500 sa maka'shoot gikan sa mid court og tag 100 sa napulo ka mga babae nga maka'shoot duol sa free throw line..Naghatag usab og papremyo si Kapitan Alan Cañete sa maka'shoot gikan sa 3-point area human sa dula sa finals..

Peñaplata Top45 routs Guilon, sets-up do-or-die clash with Villarica

Peñaplata Top45 Basketball Sunday Club Team A delivered a commanding performance, routing Brgy. Guilon, 71-55, in the ongoing Limao Top45 Pre-Fiesta League behind a relentless defensive effort and balanced offensive attack last night at Limao Barangay Gym.

From the opening tip, Peñaplata set the tone with scorching defense that disrupted Brgy. Guilon’s rhythm, particularly neutralizing their outside gunners.

The pressure never let up, as Peñaplata controlled the tempo from start to finish and never trailed at any point in the contest.

Their dominance became even more evident late in the third quarter when the lead ballooned to 21 points, effectively putting the game out of reach.

The team’s cohesive play on both ends of the floor proved too much for Guilon, who struggled to find consistent scoring opportunities against the suffocating defense.

Leading the charge for Peñaplata was Arden Batiancila, who tallied 15 points built on efficient short jumpers in the shaded lane, while also hauling down 7 rebounds. His inside presence anchored the offense and provided stability throughout the game.

Tatot Antig and Brian Basco provided strong support with 13 points apiece, contributing to the team’s balanced scoring effort.

With the win, Peñaplata advances to a crucial rubber match against Brgy. Villarica. The stakes are high, as the winner will earn a spot in the championship round against host team Brgy. Limao.

Limao has already secured the first finals berth after defeating Villarica, and now awaits the victor of what promises to be an exciting and decisive showdown.

Green storms back to stun White, 75–64, in Sunday Club Showdown

The Green squad delivered a thrilling come-from-behind victory over the White, 75–64, in the Peñaplata Top45 Basketball Sunday Club, fueled by a pivotal third-quarter surge and relentless defense down the stretch last night at Puork 5B Urban, Brgy. Peñaplata.

After trailing in the first half, Green found its rhythm in the third period behind the hot shooting of Benjie Tejada. The lefty sharpshooter erupted for 8 points in the quarter, capitalizing on a string of fastbreak opportunities that swung momentum firmly in Green’s favor. Tejada finished with a team-high 18 points, leading the charge in the turnaround.

Backing him up was the high-flying Dorly Abitago, who showcased his all-around brilliance. Abitago tallied 16 points while dominating the glass with 13 rebounds and orchestrating plays with 7 assists. His versatility proved crucial as Green tightened its grip on both ends of the floor.

On the other side, Ergie “The Cool Cat” put on a valiant effort for the White, carrying much of the offensive load with 17 points. However, his heroics began to fade in the final quarter as Green’s suffocating pressure defense took its toll, limiting his effectiveness and stalling White’s comeback hopes.

With the win, Green will face the Yellow in the finals on April 12, 2026, at the Purok 5B Urban Astrodome in Brgy. Peñaplata. Game time is 4 pm.

Pagay powers Yellow past Blue, clinches finals berth

The Yellow clinched their ticket to the finals after defeating the Blue, 72-60, in a tightly-contested first half that only broke open in the second half.

The game lived up to expectations early on, with both teams trading baskets through the first two quarters. Neither side could create outright separation, as defensive stops and timely shot-making kept the score close heading into halftime.

Momentum shifted decisively in the third quarter when Yellow leaned on their size advantage with the Blue missing the presence of their twin towers, Arden "The Demolition Man" Batiancila and Longhair 'Sakuragi" Mapili, to dominate inside the paint particularly in second chance connections.

Controlling the boards and converting high-percentage looks, they surged ahead and built an 11-point lead. Lindong "The Silent Assasin" Senados provided solid support with 12 points via back-to-back baseline jumpers, helping stretch the defense and maintain the cushion as Yellow dictated the tempo.

Blue refused to go quietly in the fourth, rallying behind Gigs "The Flash"Merida, who sparked a late push and finished with 15 points and 7 boards. The sweet-shooting Aje Egagamao added 12 markers to aid the comeback effort.

However, Yellow’s Ian "The Sailor Man" Pagay delivered the dagger, knocking down crucial baskets that halted Blue’s momentum and sealed the win.

Pagay, who earned Kap Serad’s D Hot Place Lamiang S**a Player of the Game honors, tallied 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists in an all-around performance.

With the victory, Yellow advances to the finals and now awaits the winner between White and Green, who are set to clash tonight at 7:30 PM at Urban's Basketball Court,Purok 5B,Brgy. Peñaplata.

The Peñaplata Top45 Basketball Sunday Club Team A secured an automatic semifinal berth in the Barangay Limao Top45 Pre-Fiesta League after outlasting Brgy. Limao Team B, 51-44, in a crucial and tightly contested matchup. Both squads came into the game with high stakes, battling fiercely from start to finish to keep their semifinal hopes alive. The intensity was evident on every possession, with neither side willing to give an inch as the game remained close through all four quarters.

In the end, it was the collective effort of Peñaplata Team A that made the difference. Contributions from both ends through balanced scoring from all, with timely baskets, solid defense and grit down the stretch proved as vital in sealing the win. REMEMBERING KA'EBOY, A TRUE WARRIOR AND A FRIEND, ON AND OFF THE HARDCOURT

It is with deep sorrow that the Penaplata Top45 Basketball Sunday Club announces the sudden passing of our beloved member, Ka'Eboy Legaspi. His abrupt demise has brought our entire basketball family into a state of shock and deep grief. Eboy was not only a dedicated member of the club but also a brother to many of us on and off the court. The news of his passing has left a void that words alone cannot fully express.

On the court, K'Eboy was known for his fierceness and fearless spirit. Every game he played was always marked by determination and intensity that opponents respected and often feared even in a regular tune-up games. He never backed down from any challenge, even in the most physical moments when the game was on the line. Yet, beyond that toughness was a man whose presence brought energy, laughter, and warmth to everyone around him.

Off the court, Eboy was remarkably bubbly, kind-hearted, and a joy to be with. His friendship, humor, and genuine support for his fellow players made him an irreplaceable part of the Penaplata Top45 Basketball Sunday Club. His presence will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege to play alongside him. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the life and spirit he shared with our club, which will remain in our hearts always.
