Barangay Asgad Held a Vibrant Santacruzan Celebration

On May 30, 2024, Barangay Asgad commemorated faith, beauty, and tradition with a joyous Santacruzan celebration. Organized by the Asgad Youth Organization, the event featured a procession that embodied the essence of this cultural treasure.

Young women adorned in elaborate and exquisite gowns were the stars of the show. These gowns not only represented various religious figures associated with the Virgin Mary, but also served as a canvas to showcase Filipino ideals of beauty. The procession itself was a vibrant display of traditional Filipino clothing and aesthetics, keeping the cultural heritage alive.

This Santacruzan wasn't just a religious observance; it was a testament to the enduring beauty of Filipino tradition. The Asgad Youth Organization's program ensured that the younger generation experienced and appreciated this significant cultural event.
