SUNN Peer Facilitators proudly participated in the NEGROS PEER ACTION SUMMIT 2026 held last April 11, 2026, at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Gymnasium a gathering that brought together passionate youth leaders and advocates committed to making a difference in their communities.
With this yearโs inspiring theme, โDigital Minds, Human Connections: Creating Safe Spaces Through Peer Support in Modern Communities,โ the summit served as a powerful reminder that while we live in an increasingly digital world, genuine human connection remains at the heart of meaningful change. Through engaging discussions, collaborative activities, and shared experiences, we were able to deepen our understanding of the importance of empathy, active listening, and responsible digital engagement.
Our participation in this event strengthened not only our knowledge but also our commitment as peer facilitators to become instruments of support, positivity, and inclusivity. We learned that creating safe spaces is not just a responsibility, but a continuous effort that requires compassion, awareness, and action both online and offline.
As we move forward, SUNN Peer Facilitators remain dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, encouraging open communication, and empowering fellow youth to stand up, speak out, and support one another. Together, we can build communities where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. ๐
