CLASSES AND WORK SUSPENDED DUE TO TYPHOON "TINO"

In the latest advisory issued by PAGASA regarding the approach of a tropical cyclone projected to affect the Visayas region, including Sagay City.

To ensure the safety of all residents, Sagay City Mayor Leo Rafael M. Cueva has issued an order suspending CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS (public and private) and WORK IN ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICES on:
• Monday, November 3, 2025
• Tuesday, November 4, 2025

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) Council is now on high alert.

All residents are urged to prioritize safety and complete typhoon preparations immediately. Please monitor official updates from PAGASA and the CDRRMO.

💙🙏 Rotaract Cares: Extending Help to Bogo, Cebu 🙏💙

Our hearts go out to the people of Bogo, Cebu, who were deeply affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck the area. The devastation left behind serves as a reminder of how fragile life can be — but also how strong the spirit of unity and compassion remains in times of crisis.

In the spirit of Service Above Self, the Rotaract Club of Sagay-Sinigayan (RACSS) reached out to our brothers and sisters in Bogo by donating three tarpaulins and eight water jugs through the Sagay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), who personally traveled to Bogo to extend their assistance last October 3, 2025.

To further support the relief efforts, our club also made additional monetary donations on October 10, 2025 (Friday) — a small act of kindness we hope can bring comfort to those rebuilding their lives.

We stand in solidarity with the people of Bogo and with everyone who continues to lend a helping hand. Together, we rise — stronger, kinder, and more united than ever.

💚✨ PROJECT: To the RACSSCUE! ✨💚
📍 Buenaventura Mahilum Elementary School & HBIS Buenaventura Mahilum Annex, Brgy. Himogaan Baybay, Sagay City

Spreading care, smiles, and service — the Rotaract Club of Sagay-Sinigayan visited Buenaventura Mahilum Elementary School and HBIS Buenaventura Mahilum Annex last September 30, 2025 for a day filled with learning, laughter, and love!

As part of our community outreach initiative, we donated two first aid kits to the schools and distributed 70 sanitary kits to elementary students — each pouch thoughtfully packed with a face towel, mini soap, alcohol spray, toothbrush, sachet of toothpaste, and a handy pouch.

To make the day even brighter, we also held a feeding program for a total of 147 students both from the elementary and high school levels.

It was truly a day of Rotaract service at heart — nurturing wellness, promoting hygiene, and filling young hearts (and tummies!) with joy and care.

And just like their motto "𝙎𝙖 𝘽. 𝙈𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙪𝙢, 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙪𝙢", let's instill hope and continue to build a community where service, compassion, and teamwork creates lasting change - not just for today but for generations to come.

🌟RDLS 2025 – Western Visayas Leg🌟

Last August 9, 2025, Rotaractors from across Western Visayas gathered at Planta Centro Bacolod Hotel & Residences for the Rotaract District Learning Seminar 2025 – Western Visayas Leg, proudly hosted by the Rotaract Club of Marapara. 💙💛

From the opening sessions to the breakout discussions, the day was filled with meaningful exchanges, leadership insights, and opportunities to strengthen fellowship across clubs in the district. ✨

Registration kicked off at 9:00 AM, with Rotaractors donning their District or Club shirts, ready to learn, connect, and grow together.

The energy in the room reflected what makes Rotaract special — youth leaders united in service, learning, and action. Truly, RDLS 2025 in Western Visayas was not just a seminar, but an inspiring reminder of our shared commitment to Service Above Self. 🌍💫

🌊🌿 Kabataang Sagaynon Learning Tour 2025🌿🌊

As a proud "Rotaractor", we were grateful to be part of the "Kabataang Sagaynon Learning Tour" last August 2, 2025 — an initiative of Honorable Mayor Leo Rafael Cueva that gave us, young leaders of Sagay, the chance to rediscover, protect, and promote our city’s natural treasures. 💙💛

Together with other youth leaders, we explored:
📍 Museo sang Bata sa Negros
📍 Carbin Reef
📍 Suyac Island Mangrove Ecopark inside the Sagay Marine Reserve
📍 Sikad Tour at the Bougainvillea Community of Colors
📍 Kape Albarako

🌱 Being there, seeing its beauty up close, and understanding its role in protecting our marine biodiversity made us realize how important it is to be a steward of our environment.

This experience was more than just a tour — it was a reminder of how we, the youth, can contribute to sustainability, environmental advocacy, and community pride. Plus, by supporting local guides, boat operators, and CBT sites, we are also helping small businesses thrive.

We're inspired to share what we have learned and to encourage our fellow Sagaynons to take pride in our heritage and natural treasures. Truly, the Kabataang Sagaynon Learning Tour planted seeds of leadership and stewardship in each of us. 🌍✨
