The 2026 Etag fest will be celebrated in full blast this 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟑𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 to 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟎𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 with the theme, "𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄, 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬."

There will be two (2) pairs from each zone: Eastern, Northern, Central, South-Central, and Southern.

𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒
𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐗-𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑, 𝐢𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The 2026 Etag Festival scheduled January 30-February 2, 2026, is fast approaching.

In view of this event, we are calling for entries in the Solo and Duet Category. Please refer to the guidelines and mechanics.

GUIDELINES:

Participants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a Filipino Citizen
- Resident of Sagada
- Age 10 to 15 years old

Categories:
1. Solo - 10 slots on a first-come, first-served basis
2. Duet - 5 slots on a first-come, first-served basis

Accompaniment
- Minus-One (Instrumental)
- Live (Guitar or Piano)

MECHANICS:

1. Interested Participants may submit entry on or before January 9, 2026, 5pm

2. Submission of Entries (on a first-come, first-served basis) may be coursed through messenger to the Official page of the Municipality of Sagada “Municipality of Sagada” or visit the Office of the Mayor and look for Ryan.

3. Confirmed Entries are required to submit their Piece (Song of Choice) with instrumental or Minus-One (if the participant will not use a Live accompaniment) on or before January 20, 2025, 5pm.

4. All contestants must be present 20 minutes before 3pm on January 31, 2026 at the Community Court.

5. Familiarize yourself with the criteria for judging.

6. The sequence of participants will be determined by drawing lots.

7. The program will start at exactly 3pm.
8. The Judges’ decision is final.

ANTS SK Fed turns over 30K worth of rubberized mats to support school sports development

Ankileng, Nacagang, Taccong, and Suyo (ANTS) Sangguniang Kabataan Federation officially handed over 18 pieces of rubberized mats valued at ₱30,000 to Ankileng National High School to strengthen its physical education and sports development programs.

The donation was made possible through the proceeds of the 'Kick for Impact' Sepak Takraw Regu Invitational Tournament for a Cause, organized by the ANTS SK Federation last April 24–25, 2025, at the Ankileng NHS covered court in Sagada, Mountain Province.

“Today, we are here not just for a simple turnover but to celebrate a meaningful step towards development, one that symbolizes teamwork, opportunity, discipline, and health,” said Jonna Balacang, SK Chair of Nacagang and overall coordinator of the tournament, during her message. She further emphasized that the mats should be maximized for PE classes, sports training, and other worthwhile activities.

“We’re in full support because we believe that you all have the potential to grow stronger, to compete, to lead, and to inspire others. Baka yung isa sa inyo, future varsity player o kaya next Olympic gold medalist,” Balacang added in closing.

Meanwhile, SSLG Vice President Dale Pangdes, along with outgoing Sports Club President Kerry Paul Kiwang and incoming President Ethan Dapliyan, expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the donation and pledged to take good care of the equipment.

In her remarks, School Head Bridgette Bagano recognized the efforts and initiatives of the SK Federation in promoting youth-focused programs and activities that nurture students’ holistic development.

The Kick for Impact Sepak Takraw Tournament was organized in partnership with the Sagada LGU, Mountain Province Sepak Takraw Club, Inc. (MPSTCI), and the Ankileng NHS-SSLG and Southern Defenders Sports Club.

"Kick for Impact" was truly impactful because of YOU!

The ANTS SK Federation — Ankileng, Nacagang, Taccong, and Suyo — extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who made the 1st Sagada Invitational Regu Sepak Takraw Tournament a resounding success last April 24–25, 2025 held at Ankileng, Sagada, Mountain Province.

To the Sagada LGU- Southern BLGUs, Mountain Province Sepak Takraw Club Incorporated (MPSTCI), and Ankileng NHS (PTA, SSLG & Southern Defenders Sports Club) — it was an incredible privilege to collaborate with you on this challenging yet rewarding event. Thank you also to the Southern Defenders and BBSTB (Baguio-Benguet Sepak Takraw Brotherhood), RHU and PNP for the assistance.

To the coaches, parents, supporters, and athletes from Baguio, Benguet, Ifugao, and Mountain Province (Tadian, Sabangan, Paracelis, Bauko, Bontoc, and Sagada) — your presence, passion, and unwavering commitment truly made this event possible. Iyaman unay!
