GULAYAN SA BAYAN PROJECT

BRIC was selected as an anchor group for the GSB project of DA.

The anchor group will produce seedlings of high-value crops such as chili, eggplant, okra, and other vegetables for sale, for members to plant, and to support other agencies by providing free seedlings.

The main nursery in Palidan, Bangaan, Anita Ligonan and husband lead the construction of the said nursery with the help of other members.

The Bangaan RIC received award as Provincial winner of Gawad Saka Best Outstanding RIC during the Farmers & Fisherfolk month in Bontoc. BRIC also received intervention from PISOS which is a water engine pump set for the Gulayan sa Bayan.

GARDENING FOR FOOD IN THE PHILIPPINES-Team Sayote Meet Up in Sagada

BRIC members attended the meet-up with our baon "Tapey" with some seeds (petchay, sweetpeas, patani)and seedlings (blackberry, lavender, basil & melon pear) to share.

We went home with free Tshirt and seeds through the initiatives of maam Tess and company.
