A new hope rises for children battling cancer as the Capiz Pediatric Cancer Ward officially begins construction at Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital, Lanot, Roxas City. 💛

Made possible through the heartfelt collaboration of the Provincial Government of Capiz, Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), Lions Club International District 301-B1, Capiz Lions Club and the Capiz Lioness Lions Club, this project will soon provide accessible cancer care for children — not only in Capiz but across Region VI.

🦁 THE CAPIZ PEDIATRIC CANCER WARD HAS BEGUN

A heartfelt dream for the people of Capiz — and the entire Western Visayas — is now becoming a reality. The Capiz Pediatric Cancer Ward officially began its journey during a groundbreaking ceremony held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital in Lanot, Roxas City.

A new chapter of service and compassion unfolds as the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), together with Lions Clubs International District 301-B1, the Capiz Lions Club, and the Capiz Lioness Lions Club, join hands with the Provincial Government of Capiz to commence the construction of this much-needed facility.

Once completed, the ward will provide accessible and compassionate cancer care for children — not only from Capiz but also from across Region VI — enabling young patients to receive treatment closer to home, surrounded by the love and support of their families. More than just a medical facility, the Capiz Pediatric Cancer Ward represents unity, compassion, and a shared commitment to bring comfort and courage to children bravely fighting cancer.

Also partnering in the management and operation of the facility is Garrod Inc.

Representing Lions Clubs International District 301-B1 during the ceremony were 1st Vice District Governor Lion Domingo Oso, Cabinet Secretary Lion Rolly Agramon, Cabinet Treasurer Lion Jay Millanes, and Past District Governor Lion Antonio Belluga, MJF, together with members of the Capiz Lions Club, Capiz Lioness Lions Club, Capiz Leo Club, Barotac Nuevo Metro Lions Club, Bacolod City Sugarlandia Lions Club, and Iloilo Professional Lions Club — united in service and hope for the children of Western Visayas.

Also in attendance were the Provincial Governor of Capiz, Hon. Fredenil Castro, Vice Governor James Magbanua, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, provincial department heads, hospital doctors and staff, and representatives from the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital — all working together to make this shared vision a lasting reality.
