Opening her speech with a warm greeting, “Magandang araw po sa ating lahat. Avesala!” Ocsillos thanked the school administration, faculty, and fellow students for their trust in electing her as president. She expressed her honor in delivering the SOLGA and emphasized the SSLG’s mission to create a vibrant, supportive school environment.
Ocsillos outlined key initiatives including the successful Brigada Eskwela, where students actively participated in the preparation for the school year. She shared that despite financial challenges, the SSLG’s Bayanihan Para Kay Juan program provided school supplies to twelve students, ensuring they had the tools to pursue their educational dreams.
Looking ahead, Ocsillos announced a series of projects designed to foster leadership, discipline, and collaboration among students. These include Project Presencia, aimed at improving student attendance and responsibility during school events, and a Students Forum Inspired by TED Talks scheduled for the second quarter. She also revealed plans for a Fitness and Wellness program, led by Barkada Kontra Droga, and a Drugs Symposium to educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
Ocsillos expressed strong support for the YES O environmental advocacy group, encouraging students to engage in initiatives for the betterment of the school’s surroundings. She also revealed that The Grind Publication will hold screenings for new journalists and conduct workshops to hone the reporting skills of student members.
"Sa 2025-2026, hindi lang tayo basta estudyante," Ocsillos stated. "Tayo ay estudyanteng makikilahok, makikibahagi, at tutulong para sa Bailan Integrated School na maging mapayapa, mas maunlad, at umaangat."
She concluded her address with a call for unity, reminding students that achieving their goals will require cooperation and a collective effort. “Walang imposibleng hindi natin kayang gawin at abutin,” she said, encouraging every learner to contribute to the success and growth of their school.
