The Committee on Police, Fire, and Peace and Order, chaired by Hon. Fernando Luis A. Viterbo, convened a committee meeting on July 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the SP Lounge Room, 3rd Floor, Roxas City Hall.
The meeting addressed the proposed ordinance authored by Hon. Victor Federico B. Acepcion, entitled:
"An Ordinance Promoting Walkability, Pedestrian Safety, and Sustainable Urban Mobility Through the Development of Pedestrian-Friendly Infrastructure, Green and Climate-Responsive Systems, and Improved Traffic Management in Roxas City," otherwise known as the "Roxas City Walkability and Sustainable Mobility Ordinance".
The UAPGA Capiz Chapter was represented by a delegation providing technical insights on human-centric planning, sustainable zoning, and climate-resilient street design. Participating in the session were:
Ar. Peter John Fantinalgo (UAPGA Adviser),
Miljee Shane G. Alisbo (Chapter Vice President for Planning & Development), and ;
Lourrien Faye Galapin (Immediate Past Chapter President).
Through active attendance and institutional collaboration, the UAPGA Capiz Chapter emphasized the importance of integrating green infrastructure, universal accessibility for pedestrian corridors, and data-driven transit solutions.
The chapter remains dedicated to partnering with local government leaders to build a safer, greener, and more resilient Roxas City.
