Good day, Girl Scouts!

A recent fire has severely affected Barangay 17, Cagayan de Oro, leaving many families displaced and in need of assistance. In light of this, the Girl Scouts of the Philippines – Misamis Oriental Council is initiating a donation drive to extend vital support to the victims.

We are inviting students and members of the community to contribute either funds or goods. All monetary proceeds will be used to purchase essential relief items. We are also gratefully accepting donations of hygiene products, school supplies, and toys for the affected children and families.

Those who wish to contribute may coordinate with their school’s GSP Coordinator or Adviser. Your generosity, no matter the amount, can help bring comfort and hope to those in need.

The SAVER Camp came to a heartfelt close with a program that celebrated the achievements, growth, and unforgettable memories shared throughout the days of learning and fun. Campers proudly looked back on their journey—from patrol flag presentations to inspiring sessions on leadership, teamwork, and sustainability. The closing ceremony was filled with gratitude, joy, and the spirit of unity that bonded everyone together. 🌟✨

One of the most inspiring highlights was the message shared by Miss Princess Dianne Calanza, Council Board Member, who encouraged the campers to bring home the lessons they gained and apply them in their daily lives. She reminded everyone that the true essence of camp is not only in the activities but in living out the values of service, awareness, and responsibility wherever they go. Her words sparked motivation to continue making an impact, even beyond the campgrounds. 💚🌍

As the SAVER Camp ended, smiles and renewed determination filled the hearts of the campers. It was not a goodbye, but a new beginning—each participant going home empowered to serve, grow, and inspire change in their communities. 🚩🌱💫

Day 2 of SAVER Camp 2025 empowered campers with essential lifesaving knowledge through Session 5: Basic First Aid & CPR with Mr. Kenny A. Bajande, RN, EMT, and Session 6: Fire Emergency Response & Safety led by the Bureau of Fire Protection Panitan team.

Capizeña Girl Scouts practiced hands-on skills in first aid, CPR, and fire safety measures, gaining confidence to respond swiftly and effectively in emergencies. These sessions not only strengthened readiness but also instilled responsibility and presence of mind—true marks of a prepared Girl Scout. 💚

A Fun and Nutritious Day at the GPN Session! 🍎🥦✨

It was an energetic morning as the Girl Powered Nutrition (GPN) Session kicked off with Manang Lyka and Manang Jayren as our inspiring resource persons 👩‍🏫💡. They shared their knowledge about what GPN is all about—empowering young girls 👧💪 to understand the importance of proper nutrition 🥗🍌 and how it can positively shape their health and future 🌟💚.

After the engaging talk 🎤📚, the girls rolled up their sleeves and put their creativity to work 🎨🙌. Using healthy ingredients 🍓🥕, they prepared their own snacks 🥪🍇, proving that nutritious food can also be fun, colorful, and delicious 😋🌈. It was more than just a session—it was a celebration of learning, health, and girl power! 🎉💪🌸

The colorful designs and unique symbols reflected the values and unity of each patrol, building a strong sense of belonging and spirit among the campers. The camp also featured an engaging session on SDG 2: Zero Hunger, emphasizing the importance of food security and sustainability. Campers participated in the "Grow Your Garden" drawing activity, where they expressed their ideas on gardening and its role in combating hunger in the community. With the inspiring presence of Miss Princess Dianne Calanza as the resource person, participants gained valuable insights on how small actions can contribute to global change. 🌱🥕 Her session motivated everyone to take part in making a difference through practical and creative solutions.

Afterwards, the camp bursts with energy as everyone joins 💪 physical fitness drills to stay active and strong. To top it off, campers groove to the trending 🎶🕺 'Palarong Pambansa' dance, filling the morning with joy, rhythm, and laughter. 🌟🎉

As the sun set and the cool night breeze embraced the campgrounds, SAVER Camp 2025 gathered around the warm glow of the campfire for an evening of connection, reflection, and inspiration.

The night’s highlight was a heartfelt campfire chat led by Ms. Benneth Rose D. Jullar, Capiz Council’s Treasurer and a Chief Girl Scout Medalist who shared meaningful insights and stories that touched on leadership, service, and the true spirit of girl scouting.

Campers listened intently, their faces lit by the flicker of flames, as the conversation sparked encouragement, camaraderie, and a renewed passion for their roles as young volunteers.

It was a night filled with laughter, thoughtful exchange, and the magic only a campfire gathering can bring, reminding everyone that the bonds formed here will burn bright long after the embers fade. 💚
