Today marks a meaningful milestone for the creative community of Capiz State University as we officially launch Taliambong — the Creative Works and Expressions of Capiz State University.

In celebration of the 22nd University Day, we proudly unveil a new platform dedicated to nurturing and showcasing the imagination, artistry, and voices of the CAPSU community.

Taliambong, a Hiligaynon word meaning a burst or blossoming of creative expression, reflects the vibrant spirit of our university—where ideas bloom, stories unfold, and creativity finds its voice. Anchored in the rich culture, scholarship, and artistry of CAPSU, Taliambong will serve as a platform to showcase the creative works and expressions of Capiz State University’s faculty and students, highlighting their literary, artistic, and innovative contributions.

More than a platform, Taliambong is a gathering place of words, colors, rhythms, and visions—a celebration of the imagination that thrives within our university.

Let us discover the concept behind the Taliambong logo and the symbols that represent the creativity, culture, and identity of the CAPSU community.

We invite everyone to follow, like, and share the page, and be part of this growing community of creators.

Roxas City Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, GK Capiz Hold Gift-Giving Activity

Roxas City, Capiz— The Roxas City Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (RCFCCC), in partnership with Gawad Kalinga (GK) Capiz, conducted a meaningful gift-giving activity from December 28 to 30, 2025, bringing holiday cheer and essential support to partner communities in the province.

The three-day activity aimed to promote compassion, solidarity, and shared responsibility, especially during the Christmas season. Volunteers distributed gifts and basic necessities to beneficiaries, reinforcing the spirit of bayanihan and community service that both organizations actively uphold.

Among those who took part in the initiative was Dr. Emmanuel D. Dayalo, Chairperson of the Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) of Capiz State University (CapSU) Main Campus, who joined the activity as a volunteer. Dr. Dayalo emphasized the importance of academic institutions and student-centered offices extending their service beyond campus walls.

“This activity reminds us that education and leadership are not confined to classrooms or offices. True service means being present in the community and responding to real human needs,” Dr. Dayalo shared.

The involvement of CapSU, through volunteerism and collaboration, highlighted the university’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. Student leaders, faculty members, and community partners also actively participated, strengthening ties between civic organizations and educational institutions.

The RCFCCC and GK Capiz expressed their gratitude to all volunteers and partners who contributed their time and resources to ensure the success of the activity. The gift-giving event stands as a testament to what collaborative efforts can achieve when driven by empathy and a shared vision of inclusive community development.

The Gawad Kalinga Youth Organization—CapSU Roxas City Main Campus, in collaboration with the GK Movement Capiz, the Office of Student Affairs Services, and Student Organizations and Activities will once again hold “Paghiliusa 2025: A Unified Extension Program and Activities of student organizations, advisers, faculty and staff, parents, and the community”.

This year’s program proudly includes the “Pamaskong Handog sa Kabataan 2025”, which will take place at GK Village, Milibili, Roxas City, Capiz, on December 20, 2025.

This meaningful annual initiative aims to let children experience the true essence of Christmas—a celebration of love, hope, and gratitude. More than the joy of receiving gifts, the program encourages appreciation for the compassion and kindness shared by others. Each year, the GK team and volunteers organize fun-filled activities such as games, value formation sessions, Christmas dinners, and gift-giving that bring smiles and inspiration to the young beneficiaries.

For 2025, we have estimated 50 children, each with a special wish list. We humbly invite you to be their Santa Tito or Santa Tita by fulfilling ANY, TWO, or ALL of their wishes. Your generosity will surely brighten their Christmas. As part of our value formation initiative, we highlight that it is not the price or size of the gift that matters, but the sincerity and love behind it. In these times of uncertainty, your kindness will leave a lasting mark on the hearts of these children.
