The Central Student Government is inviting everyone who participated in FreshFest 2026 to answer our Evaluation Form. Your feedback, suggestions, and experiences will help us assess the event and identify areas we can improve.

On September 21, 1972, then-President Ferdinand E. Marcos signed Proclamation No. 1081, placing the Philippines under Martial Law. The declaration was publicly announced on September 23, 1972.
‎
‎According to Amnesty International, approximately 70,000 individuals were imprisoned, 34,000 were subjected to torture, and more than 3,200 were killed between 1972 and 1981. The organization also documented widespread arrests, detention, torture, extrajudicial killings, and other human rights violations during the period.
‎
‎The declaration also resulted in the closure and seizure of privately owned media organizations, significantly restricting freedom of expression and access to information. Despite these restrictions, journalists continued to disseminate information through alternative publications, including the underground press.
‎
‎The commemoration of Martial Law serves as an opportunity to examine this period of Philippine history, recognize documented human rights violations, and underscore the importance of preserving historical records, human rights, and press freedom.

As the curtain falls on Day 2 of FreshFest 2026 at the CvSU-CCAT Covered Court 2, our hearts are full, for what began as an ambitious celebration transformed into an unforgettable showcase of unity, talent, and passion. Beyond the games, music, and grand spotlights, this event truly belonged to every student, organization, department, and volunteer who poured their hearts into making it a triumph.

The Central Student Government would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to every organization who shared their time, effort, talents, and support to make this event possible. From the preparations, coordination, and countless hours of work, hanggang sa mismong event proper, your commitment and willingness to collaborate truly made FreshFest 2026 more meaningful and memorable for our CCATians.

An event of this magnitude was made possible through a remarkable collective effort and strong partnerships. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to CvSU-CCAT Artrads, CvSU-CCAT Sonic Pistons, and the CvSU-CCAT Chorale for their stunning cultural performances. A big thank you also goes to 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗳é for their generous support in food preparation. We appreciate the contributions from the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 for providing essential venue and logistical materials. Lastly, we commend the 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘀 (𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖) 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 for their dedication in keeping the venue organized, safe, and secure., as well as the Central Student Government Multimedia Team for capturing every special moment behind the lens.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗦𝗚 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 , 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄 was not just an event—it was a collective effort made possible where student organizations come together with one purpose: to create a memorable and meaningful experiences where we can reach a more CCATians.

To every first-year students who joined us, the main objective was to reach and warmly welcome you to CvSU-CCAT, and whether your passion lies in sports, gaming, cultural arts, technology, or community service, our doors remain wide open to help you grow, connect, and excel. We hope you've had a wonderful opportunity to express, connect, engage, and open your hearts starting here with our campus premises and student organizations. This is just the beginning guys!

𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟏 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐇𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 was filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable moments as our students officially kicked off their first FreshFest experience!

The day was made even more exciting through the fun games, engaging activities, and lively booths prepared by our dedicated 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. From exciting challenges to moments of laughter and friendly competition, every booth brought its own unique energy that made the celebration even more memorable. 🎪✨

The celebration was also made more vibrant by the great performances of 𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗖 𝗣𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗡𝗦, who brought their talent and energy to the stage and added even more excitement to the day! 🎶🔥

A special appreciation also goes to our 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 for their dedicated service and assistance, helping ensure that the event remained organized, safe, and enjoyable for everyone throughout the celebration. 🫡💙

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) has issued Office Memorandum No. 44, s. 2026, 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. 𝗔 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲.

Following the 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 and the 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 held last 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, between the 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 (𝗟𝗚𝗨), 𝗖𝘃𝗦𝗨–𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, concerns regarding the “𝗖𝘃𝗦𝗨–𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀” were thoroughly discussed. A unified course of action was agreed upon to protect student welfare, uphold institutional integrity, and stop the spread of unverified content.

In a unified stand with the 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 (𝗟𝗚𝗨) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, we urge every CCAT student, faculty member, and concerned citizen to immediately target and mass report the page “𝗖𝘃𝗦𝗨–𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀.”

This page has crossed the line. Unverified, unregulated, and malicious posts threaten the safety, privacy, and integrity of our entire campus community. We cannot let toxicity and misinformation define our university.

The meeting brought together the CvSU–CCAT Administration, led by Dr. Lauro B. Pascua, together with the concerned Directors, and the Central Student Government, represented by President Zyron Asty V. Bustamante, Vice President Boris B. Alano, and Senior Adviser Mr. Joseph S. Rivas. The discussion provided an avenue to collaborate, clarify concerns, and identify appropriate measures that protect the interests and welfare of every CvSU–CCAT student.

𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝘃𝗦𝗨–𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗧 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, cooperation, and responsible action.
