OFFICIAL STATEMENT | The filing of candidacy for the 2026 student elections happened at Batangas State University The NEU - Jose B. Zuño Rosario Campus this April 30, 2026, marking the official start of another chapter in student governance.

The aspiring candidates voiced a mix of pressure and excitement, humility, and visions that ranged from inclusiveness and sincerity to organizational service. Their words reflected commitments to initiative, encouragement, and genuine leadership — highlighting the importance of leading with authenticity rather than credentials, and ensuring that student organizations remain aligned with the University's core values, and sustainable development.

Students now look ahead with expectations that these pledges will not remain as campaign statements alone, but will be translated into action. The community hopes that promises of inclusiveness, authenticity, and service will be lived out in leadership, proving that true governance is measured not by titles or speeches, but by dedication and perseverance.

LOOK 📷 | "The ballot is stronger than the noise, for it carries not just voices—but the will of the people."

The spirit of democracy rises once more as the Rosario Electoral Board officially oversees the filing of candidacy of the Zuñoans organizations. Representing leadership, service, and commitment, candidates from the campus-wide organization APBRoS, the department organization CABEIHM (SAM) with its sub-organizations JFINEX, UPMO, JPMAP, and the College of Teacher Education (CTE - TESC) with its sub-organizations CELLS, HOME, and SOCFEE step forward to answer the call of responsibility.

This moment is more than a process—it is a declaration. A declaration that leadership is earned through courage, that service begins with intention, and that every candidate stands not for position, but for purpose.

As the upcoming elections draw near, let this serve as a reminder: leadership is not about power, but about accountability; not about popularity, but about integrity. The future of our academic community lies not only in those who run—but in those who choose wisely.

Choose leaders who listen. Choose leaders who act. Choose leaders who stand.

Batangas State University The National Engineering University (BatStateU The NEU) – Rosario Campus proudly welcomed University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo for the highly anticipated Kapihan seminar.

The 11th Kapihan with President became a transformative dialogue that equipped participants with knowledge, foresight, and shared reflections. The sessions fostered open communication, strengthened BatStateU’s core values, and reinforced its identity as the National Engineering University.
