The 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 - 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 proudly joins the observance of the 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝'𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐲 this 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, recognizing the importance of first aid and being prepared to respond during emergencies.

As volunteers, we continue to promote 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞. Through simple acts of helping and responding, we are reminded that anyone can make a difference and help save a life when it matters most.

𝟏𝟑𝟎𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐈𝐌𝐔𝐒

The 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 – 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥, together with fellow volunteers from different municipalities, proudly joined the commemoration of the 𝟏𝟑𝟎𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐦𝐮𝐬 on 𝟎𝟑 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at the 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐦𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐈𝐦𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲.

As part of our commitment to 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, our volunteers assisted in distributing morning sandwiches and lunch meals to participants.

Together, we honor our history while continuing to serve with 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦.

We were also honored by the presence of our 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐧, who joined us in this significant occasion.

This National Heroes Day, the Philippine Red Cross honors the courage and sacrifice of the heroes who fought for our nation—and celebrates the spirit of heroism that continues to live in Filipinos who choose to serve others.

Today, heroism can be found in every volunteer who runs toward an emergency, every responder who reaches communities in times of disaster, every blood donor who gives a part of themselves so another may live, and every Filipino who extends a helping hand without expecting anything in return.

As we remember the heroes who helped build our nation, may we also recognize those who continue their legacy through compassion, courage, and service.

Heroes are not only remembered. Heroes answer the call.

Protecting vulnerable children against preventable health threats through direct community immunization! Under the 2026 Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) "Ligtas Tigdas" campaign, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) completed its Week 1 rollout, delivering life-saving vaccines directly to neighborhoods and residential subdivisions across the province.

Mobilizing 42 healthcare responders—comprising 12 vaccinators and 30 support volunteers—the team visited 4 key cities and municipalities (Bacoor, Imus, Naic, and Silang). Together, they reached 12 communities and successfully vaccinated 847 children:

Communities Reached: Brgy. Molino III (Bacoor City), Legian Homes I (Brgy. Carsadang Bago), Bronzeville I (Brgy. Halang), Belmont I (Brgy. Halang), Brgy. Kaong (Silang), Brgy. Queensrow East, Brgy. Carsadang Bago II, Pagsibol 3A and 4A, Brgy. Maguyam, Brgy. Molino 6, Pasinaya North (Timalan Balsahan), and Brgy. Maguyam.

Every August, we observe International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Month to raise awareness of the rules that seek to protect human dignity, civilians, and others affected by armed conflict, and to limit the effects of conflict.

This year's theme, "𝘗𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘢 𝘜𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘏𝘓" highlights the importance of cooperation and collective efforts in promoting respect for IHL.

IHL is a set of rules that applies during armed conflict. It seeks to limit the effects of armed conflict by protecting persons who are not, or are no longer, taking part in hostilities.

Through its Volunteers, Logistics, and Information Technology, the Philippine Red Cross continues to support awareness and understanding of IHL, promote respect for the emblems of humanity, and provide neutral and impartial humanitarian assistance to people affected by emergencies and armed conflict.
