Growing Resilience, One Mangrove at a Time!

On July 26, 2026, the student organizations of Romblon State University – Romblon Campus actively participated in the 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗬 held at Brgy. Agnay, Romblon, Romblon, demonstrating their commitment to environmental conservation and community resilience.

The activity was spearheaded by the Philippine Red Cross – Romblon Chapter as part of the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month 2026, in collaboration with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Barangay Agnay Officials, Romblon State University – Romblon Campus Student Organizations, Romblon National High School (RNHS), and Montfort Academy.

Through collective action and environmental stewardship, the participants contributed to protecting our coastal ecosystems while promoting disaster risk reduction and climate resilience. Together, we continue to build a safer, greener, and more sustainable future for our communities.

One seedling planted today is a stronger, more resilient tomorrow.

JULY 26, 2026 🌱🌊

On July 26, 2026, we took another meaningful step toward protecting our environment through the Mangrove Planting Activity spearheaded by 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 – 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 in 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗔𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘆, 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗻.

Together with our dedicated volunteers, partners, and members of the community, we planted mangrove seedlings that will help protect our coastlines, preserve marine biodiversity, and contribute to a greener and more resilient future. Every seedling planted symbolizes hope, resilience, and our shared commitment to safeguarding our environment for generations to come.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who generously shared their time, effort, and unwavering support in making this meaningful initiative a success. Your dedication reminds us that when people come together with a common purpose, even the smallest actions can create a lasting impact.

May this activity inspire us to continue working hand in hand to protect our natural resources, strengthen our communities, and build a more sustainable future for the next generation.

What an incredible day at Welcome Fest 2026! ❤️✨

Yesterday, the Supreme Student Council (SSC) successfully held Welcome Fest 2026, bringing together student organizations and welcoming both incoming and returning RSUvians. As one of the participating organizations, the RSUvian Red Cross Youth Council proudly set up its recruitment booth to introduce the values and mission of the Philippine Red Cross, share what RCY is all about, and invite future volunteers to become part of our growing RCY family. We are sincerely grateful to the SSC for organizing this meaningful event and providing us with the opportunity to connect with the student community.

To everyone who visited our booth, asked questions, showed interest, signed up, and took the time to get to know our organization—thank you! Your enthusiasm and willingness to serve made our first day at Welcome Fest truly meaningful. We are grateful for your support and look forward to welcoming you into our RCY family.

Good news! ❤️🤍 RCY recruitment is still ongoing until Friday.
