Overdose Awareness Month reminds us that behind every statistic is a person, a family, a dream, and a future filled with endless possibilities. The Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) actively participated in the observance of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT), strengthening our commitment to promoting a drug-free, safe, and healthy school community. ๐Ÿ’™

Through the inspiring discussions of our resource speakers, we gained valuable knowledge about the causes and effects of illegal drug use, Republic Act No. 9165, the dangers of va**ng and emerging substances, the importance of choosing the right environment, and the role of every student in preventing substance abuse.

This activity reminded us that prevention starts with awareness, and awareness begins with education. Together, let us continue to stand against illegal drugs by making wise decisions, supporting one another, and becoming positive influences in our community.

Today, the BKD Officers successfully conducted their meeting at the School Grounds, facilitated by Former BKD President and now BKDM General Secretary Godwin Cyled Viernes Paralejas.

The meeting focused on the organization's accomplishment reports, project program, timetable, upcoming events, financial reporting, documentation, and PowerPoint preparation. Important announcements and updates were also discussed to ensure that every officer clearly understands their responsibilities and remains committed to fulfilling their duties.
