On March 15, 2026, we successfully conducted the PYM Election and officially welcomed our new set of officers who will serve the youth community. This moment marks not only a transition of leadership but also a renewed commitment to continue the mission and strengthen the unity of our youth ministry. As newly elected officers, we promise to do our best to serve with dedication, responsibility, and sincere hearts for the good of everyone. We have done so much in the year 2024; let's see what 2025 holds. In 2025, we anticipate a surge in Catholic youth actively participating in our programs, embracing their faith and community. We'll focus on creating engaging and relevant events and initiatives that empower young people to deepen their spiritual lives and serve others. Our hope is to foster a vibrant and welcoming environment where young people feel supported and inspired to grow in their faith. With God's grace, we expect to see a significant increase in youth involvement and a strengthening of our Catholic community.

The Diocesan Youth Apostolate hosted a workshop on November 30, 2024, at the Diocesan Seminar House, in preparation for the upcoming Local National Youth Day 2024. Around 80 young leaders including the Sto. Niño Parish Delegates , eager to be "PILGRIMS OF HOPE!," are participating in the workshop.

The LNYD 2024 theme, "Those who hope in the Lord will run and not be weary," is the focus of the workshop. Rev. Fr. Jeric John Bariquit, DCD, the spiritual director of the Diocesan Youth Apostolate, emphasized the importance of hope in his talk, stating that "Hope is purified in crises."

To further explore this theme, participants are engaging in small group discussions centered on hope, prayer, and finding peace in Christ. These discussions aim to foster a deeper understanding of the theme and its relevance to the lives of the young leaders.

Sto. Niño Parish Youth Holds Feeding Program for World Day of the Poor

Sunday, November 17, 2024, the Sto. Niño Parish Youth Apostolate organized a feeding program to celebrate the World Day of the Poor. This year’s theme, “The prayer of the poor rises up to God,” highlighted the importance of helping those in need.

The beneficiaries of the program were residents of Barangay Malawanit and Barangay Maibo, two remote communities in Magsaysay. The event provided food and support to the children, bringing people together in the spirit of care and service.

In his homily for the World Day of the Poor, Pope Francis encouraged everyone to see God in the struggles of the poor and to respond with hope and kindness. He reminded people that, “Every act of compassion is a sign of hope.”

Volunteers from the PYA expressed how meaningful it was to take part in the activity.The Sto. Niño Parish hopes this program inspires others to reach out to those in need, especially in far-flung communities, and to make a difference through small but meaningful actions.
