For Sta. Cruz Elementary School, the School Readiness Project is more than a supply turnover, it is a timely intervention that directly supports learner participation at the start of the school year.
Ma’am Cecille Obillo-Macasa, EdD, Head Teacher of Sta. Cruz Elementary School, Quinapondan District, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Balud and the Waray Empowerment Network for the continued partnership and consistent support extended to learners.
The school highlighted that many families face recurring challenges at the beginning of classes, particularly in securing complete school supplies and uniforms for their children. In this context, the initiative helps bridge immediate gaps that can affect attendance readiness and classroom participation.
Beyond the materials provided, the school underscored the deeper value of the intervention: it strengthens learner confidence, reduces early school-year strain for families, and reinforces the importance of shared community responsibility in education.
More importantly, the continuity of the partnership signals a growing system of support where schools, communities, and partners work together not only to enroll learners, but to ensure they are ready to learn from day one.
