On April 23, 2026, a successful Physical Stakeholder Consultation was held at Mullbery Hotel, Balangay 6, Bongbongon, Quezon, Bukidnon, for the Ecosystem and Agroforestry Growth for Livelihood Empowerment (EAGLE) Project, bringing together various government agencies, the academe, private sector, barangay leaders, and Indigenous Peoples (IP) representatives.
The EAGLE Project seeks to restore 7,500 hectares of degraded land located in 5 barangays of Quezon, Bukidnon (Lipa, Magsaysay, Cawayan, Linabo, and Sta. Felomina) while supporting biodiversity conservation, water security, and livelihood empowerment for local communities through agroforestry initiatives such as coffee and abaca production.
Through open discussions and presentations, stakeholders shared concerns, recommendations, and commitments regarding reforestation, ancestral domain protection, and community participation.
The consultation shows how the project will achieve its goal for Forest Restoration and provide sustainable livelihoods for the community, while strengthening collaboration.
