🚨 CALL FOR DONATIONS 🚨

Brigada Kalikasan is calling for urgent support as continuous heavy rains and severe flooding brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), intensified by Tropical Depression MayMay, continue to submerge low-lying areas in Quezon City and force families to evacuate.

Severe flooding has inundated homes in Barangay Bagong Silangan, reaching waist-to-chest levels in Isla Pulang Bato and over head-level or exceeding two stories in other Sitios. Many families who could not reach distant evacuation centers, such as those in Sitio Bakal, are staying in improvised tents on higher ground and are urgently in need of food assistance and basic supplies.

Monetary donations will be used to provide immediate relief assistance and hot meals to affected communities.

A huge thank you for all of your donations!

As of today, March 17, 11:00 AM, we have received a total of ₱26,680.30 in monetary donations for families affected by the fire in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City. We also received an overwhelming number of in-kind donations, including clothes, canned goods, water, and more. Brigada Kalikasan is also pleased to report that an amount of ₱ 7,500 from your donations was given to Makabayan's Solidarity Mission for families affected by the trash slide in Montalban, Rizal. The amount provided 100 relief packs, which were then distributed to the affected families. Brigada Kalikasan has decided to share a portion of the donation, as we view relief operations for communities affected by the trash slide as urgent.

As of now, our lines remain open for more in-kind donations, especially kitchen utensils, beddings, food, and water. Please refrain from donating more clothes as the community has already received a sufficient amount for now. We are also still monitoring the situation in the communities affected by the fire, as they remain displaced and in desperate need of support.

A huge thank you for your support and the dedication of our volunteers! 🙏

As of March 9, 5:00 PM, we have raised ₱ 17,680.30, allowing us to serve hot meals to around 370 residents affected by the fire in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City.

Through Brigada Kalikasan, our volunteers reached affected families at Pinyahan Elementary School and along NIA Road—the ground zero of the fire incident.

While relief efforts continue, we are closely monitoring the situation at NIA Road following reports that police are demanding proof of land ownership from fire victims. Locals report a development plan intended to permanently displace them, preventing families from returning to their home lots.

Our relief operations are still in full swing, as many families remain displaced and in desperate need of consistent food support. We are continuing to mobilize resources to provide more meals and material support for over 4,000 families affected.

Any further support will help sustain these efforts and allow us to reach more residents in need.
