Beerflooding returned as the year drew to a close.

As the UP Lantern Parade lit up the night, the Christmas season found its rhythm in familiar company, shared laughter, and a tradition that never fails to bring Brothers together from different regions, jurisdictions, and provinces in one place, proving that distance fades quickly when brotherhood calls.

With bottomless drinks flowing, stories were retold, inside jokes resurfaced, and long-overdue catchups stretched late into the evening and filled the gaps time and distance had created. Between bites of sisig burgers and rounds shared among friends, each conversation carried something deeper, a sense of belonging that only DeMolay can offer.

It isn't just a party and senseless drinks; it is a tradition. No matter how far life takes us or how busy the year becomes, there is always a place, a table, and a moment where Brothers can come together to welcome the season, to close the year, and to carry the bond forward into what comes next. This is where we find our way back.

A family day to celebrate how far the brotherhood has grown.

Alumni members gathered not just as individuals, but brought with them the people who now share in their journey beyond DeMolay. It was a day that shifted the focus from daily routines and labor to presence, connection, and togetherness.

The painting activity led by Bro. Joren Lansang opened a space for creativity and curiosity for the children. With brushes in hand and colors spread freely, imagination took the lead. What started as an activity for the kids quickly turned into a shared moment, as partners and spouses joined in—encouraging expression, play, and the confidence to explore creative paths that may shape future passions.

The years in between seemed to fade—conversations flowed easily, laughter came naturally, and it felt less like a reunion and more like brothers picking up where they left off, this time with families by their side.

This night was a quiet reminder that while life moves forward, the sense of family within the Chapter remains unchanged.

We honor and remember our beloved Brother Migs, who has passed over to the other shore and left behind a life that was meaningful, generous, and deeply rooted in the virtues of DeMolay. He was a Brother in the truest sense: steady, sincere, and present. His friendship meant different to each of us, yet always left us better for having known him.

The Funeral Service became more than a moment of mourning. Served by those closest to him, it turned into a powerful reminder of what brotherhood looks like when lived fully—stories shared, bonds reaffirmed, and hearts brought closer together. In a way only he could, Brother Migs gathered members of the Chapter and Dad Advisors once more, together again, because of him.

While 2025 carried its share of loss and heaviness, his passing reminds us why we continue. As we move into 2026, we do so carrying the light he helped ignite within our hearts and pushing forward with purpose, unity, and renewed commitment to live out the values he embodied.

Rest well, Brother. Your legacy continues through us.

Brothers across generations came together to plan the next chapter of the Honorable Sires Guild.

From September to November, members of the alumni chapter met regularly to share ideas, align plans, and prepare for the next term as latest members step into leadership, guided by those who have already carried the work before them.

More than just schedules and agendas, these quiet meetings brought big plans. Conversations were thoughtful but unforced and each idea was exchanged freely, each experience shared openly, and leadership shaped not in formality, but through trust and brotherhood.

This is how continuity happens. Leadership evolves, roles change, but the mission stays the same: passed on through guidance, presence, and the simple act of showing up for DeMolay.👔📋
