To the youth of Barangay Pansol, we are now pleased to announce that the Reading and Learning Nook will resume working hours after a week of closing the mini library due to offical business. ☀️🖐🏻

We once again welcome every kiddos to learn, read, and enjoy the rest of what the nook offers as always. ✨

𝟰𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼’𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 🪎

On August 21, 2026, we commemorate the 43rd anniversary of the death of Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., whose life and sacrifice became a significant part of Philippine history and the country’s journey toward democracy.

Ninoy Aquino was a Filipino senator and one of the prominent figures who stood in opposition to the authoritarian rule of Ferdinand Marcos Sr. After years of political imprisonment and exile, he returned to the Philippines on August 21, 1983. His assassination upon his arrival at the Manila International Airport sparked widespread public outrage and strengthened the growing movement for democratic change.

Today, we remember his courage, conviction, and dedication to the Filipino people. May his legacy remind us to stand for what is right, uphold our principles, and pursue meaningful change through peaceful and responsible action.

May we continue to honor the lessons of our history and work together toward a more democratic, just, and united Philippines. 🇵🇭

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | BPCA at Youth Empowerment 2026. ⚡

Today, BPCA Asst. Secretary Stephanie Ante, BPCA Proper Pansol Area Rep. Kian Domingo, together with BCPC Child Representative Jarrede Bacalando participated in Youth Empowerment: Strengthening Youth Leadership and Civic Participation 2026 at the Cocoon Boutique Hotel.

The initiative started with a warm welcome from Ms. Ma. Lorelei Salvador, RSW, and then later proceeded to Discussion 1, which was "Importance of Youth Participation and Understanding the SK Election Process," tackled by Hon. Arvin Karl D. Capiral, SK Federation Auditor of Quezon City.

Later on, Mr. Gabriel Billones Jr., the Founder and President of Break The Fake Movement, took the floor to talk about "Social Media Youth Decision Making: Integrity of Information Space." He talked about the types of fake news, how social media shapes our decisions, and how to fact-check, and led a game which made us investigate how to act in these kinds of situations.

Lastly, Mr. Ranze Aaron Calderon, Executive Director of 2030 Youth Force in the Philippines Inc., discussed "Leadership in Modern Generation: Characteristics of an effective and responsible leader." He taught us how we define a leader and told us to "Always Show up" in all situations.

The program continued with a Pledge of Commitment, which was recited by the Child Representatives, followed by the signing of the Pledge of Commitment.

Finally, Hon. Gabriel A. Peralta, MPA, the SK Chairman of Brgy. Batasan Hills, Q.C., and the Vice President of the SK Federation of Quezon City, delivered the closing remarks.

We are deeply grateful for this opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with fellow young leaders and mentors. As a children association, we will continue to speak up, stay engaged, and ensure that every young voice is heard and valued

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | BPCA at PCMN's Civic Engagement Rollout 2026 💙💛

Last August 9, BPCA President Alma Christina Trillanes, BPCA Kaingin 2 Area Representative Ramil Revilleza, and BCPC Child Representative Rainne Hagarap, attended the PCMN's Civic Engagement Rollout 2026 held at the Quezon City Community Center, Barangay Paligsahan, Quezon City.

The event brought together youth leaders and young participants from various barangays in Quezon City, creating a meaningful avenue for learning, collaboration, and active youth participation.

The module focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of civic rights, the Philippine political and legal system, advocacy, accountability, good governance, and effective leadership. It also aimed to develop their civic awareness, leadership and action competencies, and personal empowerment through practical learning and mentoring.

Under the Reduce Exploitation and Abuse of Children Together (REACT) Project of Philippine Children’s Ministries Network, the initiative serves as an important step toward nurturing informed, responsible, empowered, and engaged young leaders who are ready to participate in community affairs and contribute to positive change.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | BPCA Participates in the last day of 3-Day Livelihood Training on Cookery 🥘

Last Friday, BPCA actively participated in Day 3 of the 3-Day Livelihood Training on Cookery, organized by the Barangay Pansol Council through the Gender and Development (GAD) and Livelihood Committee.

Following the orientation and foundational lessons on Day 1 and the intensive hands-on activities on Day 2, Day 3 served as the culminating session of the training. Participants further applied and strengthened their cookery skills through practical activities that enhanced their techniques, creativity, teamwork, discipline, and confidence in preparing various dishes.

The completion of this training reflects the continued commitment of the Barangay Pansol Council to provide community members with practical and valuable livelihood skills. It also highlights the importance of empowering the youth with knowledge and competencies that can help them become productive, self-reliant, and active contributors to community development.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | BPCA Participates in the 3-Day Livelihood Training on Cookery 🥘

Last thursday, BPCA actively participated in Day 2 of the 3-Day Livelihood Training on Cookery, organized by the Barangay Pansol Council through the Gender and Development (GAD) and Livelihood Committee.

Following Day 1, which focused on the orientation and foundational lessons to prepare participants with the essential knowledge, safety practices, and basic principles of cookery, Day 2 transitioned into more intensive hands-on training. Participants applied what they had learned by preparing various dishes while strengthening their culinary techniques, teamwork, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen.

This training reflects the commitment of the Barangay Pansol Council to equip community members with practical livelihood skills while empowering the youth to become productive, self-reliant, and active contributors to community development.

Through knowledge, practice, and perseverance, we continue to empower the next generation—one skill at a time. 👩‍🍳

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | [08/04/26] – Day 02 of BPCA's Karunungan sa Kalye: A Literacy Program for Street Children and Out-of-school Youth during the Cooking Competition at Block 6, Kaingin 1 📖

Last Wednesday, while the competition was taking place, volunteer tutors gathered the children for an engaging learning session filled with reading, writing, counting and other activities.

After the cooking competition, the children were treated to the nutritious meals lovingly prepared by the contestants. The shared meal became a reward to the childrens for todays activities, allowing them to enjoy healthy and delicious food while spending time together. Through this initiative, BPCA highlighted the importance of both education and proper nutrition. 🥕
